I don't understand your complaints, the Assault bonus was for projectile and explosive weapons, that only includes combat rifles, SMG, and Mass drivers...and flaylocks.
What is the new bonus to be?

I also was under the impression the bonus was for Magazine Ammunition capacity not Ammunition Carry Capacity

I appreciate all your maths but what I appreciate more is the first good news in minmatar assault history, other than being created for cannon fodder that is.
Technically by the Model Amarrian dropsuits are UP too, being significantly slower, for a mere 30 HP gain at base level.
