Think about the team you would put together or would be part of.
Think about how many other teams could be assembled by the current player base during the hours you play.
How many different opponents would you get?

Why would you need match making if both sides were team deploying?
Seems like a waste of time. If you are team deploying what does it matter?

I am in favor of pub squads being 4 players (though I wouldn't cry over 6) and FW being team deploy
Team deploy in pubs will likely lead to more frequent redlines unless there was some programming that only matches up teams of 8 or more with eachother. Meaning that if a team of 16 deployed they would be in a battle with at least another group of 8 players.

Oh, and back to the original question.
How many other teams do you think will be queueing up when your team is?
I'm worried that it would only be two or three and you'd end up fighting the same people again and again.

Q-syncing has gotten ridiculous. I've seen solid teams now of all Lord-British in Dom matches. There's no way you can fight that even with a full squad if the rest of your entire team are random scrubs. You can run the best point defense or attack strategy you want, you'll loose through clone attrition and not being able to be everywhere at once.

Yes, any flaws will be exploited, and yes, all this is happening now.
However, I'm trying to think about what the experience will be like for teams once team deploy is implemented. I have two particular concerns...
1. We'll be constantly fighting against the same two or three teams 2. In many cases one team will know it is outmatched and so will simply pull out
Point 2 will make point 1 even worse.

Its the same in ambush when Duna is around with his 6+ tank squad. You end up with other random players and even if, even IF you get ridiculously lucky and take out one of the tanks, 5+ more come storming down on you. Camping the horrible spawn locations. CCP could have a great game but there are so many glaringly obvious flaws. Half of the time these flaws are only small, and easy fixes could be made yet nothing is done and very little is said.
We REALLY need an infantry only mode, or infantry only mode of ambush or something. |
