#1 A: GO AV and skill into it work with other long time AV vets or tankers who will be happy to tel you the blind and week spots on tanks. or do no av and stay out of the open and deal with it . tanks are as much part of the game as you hacking a point !

#2 A: save your sp keep what you got and wait for the pach

3# A: stay out of FW unless you like blowing your isk or unless you need something with LP

4# A: redlineing means you pushed the other guys back into there red line or they to you! players that cry about red line are BF players and COD/MWF players who want to spawn camp the other team to buff them selfs KDR or WP they get rly mad when they stand in the open and get sniped from snipers in the red line. same go,s with tankers who sit in the open with blasters and dont use cover and drop ship players flying around thinking the game is all about them and there drop ship.

read lines stop a team from spawn killing the other team in the early days of dust players whould bump rush the other teams spawn just to do this and win because the redline was to small. in fact the lunch pad map still has this !

Yes. You still get sp, which is what you are after. 4) What does Redlining mean and why do people get annoyed about it? Pushing the enemy to their redline (basically out of bounds for you). They can sit their immune from attacks, but can snipe. Red lines are reserved for bitches. 5) I got hate mailed by one of my own team for standing still and shooting 3 guys in 5 seconds. Also, Anti-vehicle weaponry got a nerf with that update, so it's not as easy to stop them anymore. Don't skill into something just because it is "best". Every weapon has its advantages and disadvantages, but since the last update some weapons have felt slightly unbalanced. The next update will hopefully migitate the gap between good weapons like the RR, and underused weapons like the laser rifle or Mass Driver. I'd say use whatever youw ant now and test out the new weapons in 1.8 FW isn't a good idea for a starting player. You need isk for skillbooks and such, but feel free to run a few matches if you want to try items before spending skill points. That's primarily what Aur and LP items are for. There are many things people get annoyed at in this game, but whether you are on the winning or losing side, no one likes redlining. It means that the losing side has to push back out of their redline because they have no objectives or points. This is boring for the winning team, and is devastating for the losing team. To prevent a redline, let the enemy capture some objectives instead of capturing them all. Usually this happens because of unbalanced matches, but often it's because one side is pushing too hard. People will think all sorts of things and you just have to play the game and ignore them. I often find new players just stand still while they are shooting without moving around...it's like how new players always try and revert their feet to the middle of the dancepad in DDR. The only bad thing to do in a game is to die 17 times. If you've already died 10 times that match and your team is running low on clones, you are the one losing the match for your team. As long as you're doing the best you can, don't worry about what others think...but then again please don't just spawn-die-spawn-die like other FPS games. The best way to avoid them is to play skirmish or factional even then there is always one or two so basically there is no escape. 2.) Rail Rifles along with Combat Rifles and other weapons are all recieving a slight nerf, we don't know all the details but if you worried about it then I'd play it safe and wait if you have the patience. 3.) Factional is good if you're looking to make your suits cheaper, I'd suggest only replacing a few modules or just the suit and weapons of choice other wise it can get quite expensive. 4.) Redlining: when one team is pushed back to their MCC or Ground Base and are unable to push out into the map due to the other team camping your spawning areas. It's annoying because when its done to you it becomes frustrating dying over and over again, when your team is doing the camping it becomes boring because most people resort to sniping or just don't fight back at all. Redlining can be avoided by leaving at least one null cannon/ objective under the enemy's control so that they at least have a chance to push out and give you a good fight. 5.) People will always send hatemail whether it's justified or not. Play the way you like just don't expect other people to accept or like what you're doing. Ignoring hate mail is probably the best thing to do as many people will drag out the arguement resulting in your time being wasted. Noobasaures: "Rawr" Laser Rifle Specialist, Rail Rifles... So thanks in advance if you chaps can clear any of this up for me... 1) Tanks are OP FoTM 2) Don't skill into things because you hear that they are best, skill into things you enjoy playing with 3)If you want to take part in PC/PFC then buying the proto LP store gear is worth the hassle, if you want to try out a new weapon/suit then buying the LP equivalent that doesn;t require any invested SP is good to help you get a feel for it before you invest any SP .. aside from that it isn't really worth it 4)Redline is the area of the map players can't enter ... like a safe zone but you can still kill and be killed out of it, people complain because there is very little risk and the hate is more towards snipers and railgun tanks .. it was intended to stop people spawn camping at the MCC but obviously it's an abused mechanic 5)Were the 3 guys also on your team eg were you in FW and killing blue dots ?? Don't read to much into hate mail it's usually people venting their frustrations at the game although sometimes it is merited

There are 2 types of redlining, because I think you're thinking about a different form of it than I am. Traditional redlining is when a team has no objectives or forward spawns; they're redlined. Hide indoors or stop playing the game 'til CCP fix it. 2) I wouldn't spend SP on weapons until you see how they're rebalanced in 1.8. 3) FW is a total waste of time unless you support one of the factions or need the specialist weapons/equipment for PC. 4) Redlining=restricting the enemy to their redline, i.e. the zone where they initially deploy that shows up as red on your map, by holding all the objectives. Basically means the game is over as a contest. 5) You're doing fine.

Interesting stuff - some different opinions which is useful. Never knew Tanks had weak spots for example. Never looked at FW as blowing ISK either - but of course now I think about it for one second.. clearly it is! GÇ£All that I know most surely about morality and obligations I owe to football.GÇ¥
Everything Dies Chatelain Rapid Response Gallente Federation 476	Posted - 2014.02.12 16:31:00 - [23] - Quote Best advice is to focus on your core skills/upgrades that apply to ALL suits (such as shield/armor, Cpu/Pg upgrades, sprint speed, etc.) and simply run militia gear (free to use) in public matches to gain some ISK. Don't worry about your Kill-Death Ratio and experiment a bit. For example--unlock the uplink skill and slap them on one of your militia fits; your suit now costs about 1,000 ISK but the uplink allows you to earn to WP and a well-placed one can turn the battle in your favor. Similarly, you could go with Remote Explosives and use them to kill enemies you otherwise wouldn't be able to. Once you find a suit and style of play that you like--and have saved up some money--then it's time to try out FW. Everyone would like to see it have importance to the game, but don't feel as though you NEED to run out there in prototype gear or anything. Militia gear and cheap suits (which become even cheaper if you can purchase Loyalty versions of them) can still be effective if you're willing to die more often. Also note that the payouts for winners and losers in FW doesn't change based on well you perform, so don't feel pressured to go out there and try to rack up more kills than anyone else. Play in whatever manner makes you comfortable and you'll steadily learn the ins and outs of the various roles available by watching those around you. Life is killing me.
