Such is not my business fool. She is the Empress, a divine being and the Avatar of God's will. How dare you profane Her name!
(( Actually this is a question I have been looking into, well not looking into but curious about. What is the Amarrian, and by extent other racial traditions and or views in regards to things like marriage, sex and chastity, love, death. OOC of course I don't think she is, was to the best of my knowledge and people like quoting it at me as though it matters to me, that she has a particular attraction to women and pleasure enhancing drugs...but don't quote me on that.
In the end it doesn't matter . Jamyll Sarum is by far the coolest NPC in New Eden by a long shot. The more I find out about her character as I read Chronicles and the books the more I like the fact I chose Amarr as my race.))

That being said; according to templar one she was a bit of a wild child.
Naughty naughty...
((That screams BADASS in my books.))

(( Officially I think I can say that any and all references pertaining to Jamyl I's sexuality are entirely contained within Tony Gonzales novels, and I think even then only really limited to Templar One. From what I have heard of Templar One and read, it doesn't command nearly the same level of respect or authenticity in terms of lore that say the Chronicles do. As such I would be inclined to take everything in it with a grain of salt.
However I do like to believe that Mordu's comments pertaining to the Amarr Empire are right on the money. In the narrative Mordu mentions that the Amarr Empire never commited more that 25% of its military strength to any one engagement thoughout its history, and not only were the Amarr successfully holding back 3 foreign Navies, but in terms of power and influence they were winning.
However again the EVE novels are entirely up to your interpretation. I know may of the higher ups in PIE Inc don't hold them in much regard and don't really count material from it as cited within canon....
However if I am correct from the lore of Templar One Jamyl was a "Wild Child" and was into pleasure enhancing drugs as well as the company of her close personal, female, servants.
For the most part however from the citeable EVE canon Jamyl Sarum is portrayed as this implacable and terrifying woman capable of shattering even the bravest man's illusions of bravery and convincing the most sceptical of heathens into submission before God.....
Thinking about it this way only here close personal friends and allies would be able to get close to her, and given the nature of Amarrian politics only the closest few without political power, whom she trusts absolutely would be able to serve her as attendants..
So it depends how you look at the lore. Is it citable to you? I would say she is likely not the Virgin Saint of the Empire but at the same time given how well she has steered the Empire in recent years, and how she bears herself not just as Empress but as a woman of power..... it really matters little.))

EDIT: Confirmed by a better RPer than me that Templar One is established Cannon even if not all that popular. Congratulations for having my 5th like since I joined the forums back in Jan of last year
I'm rather chuffed with that. TY!

Denak Kalamari wrote:Everyone knows that Empress Jamyl I is secretly into BDSM. Actually that is perhaps one of the greatest secrets kept in New Eden....given the Minmatar would likely say anything to try to shame the Empress....it would simply fit in as one of a dozen rumours that are neither here nor there.
