Really, you're going to try to bring up real life physics for a game that you've been playing for so long that has never attempted to base itself on said physics. Lol, try again RL physics are used to inspire some mechanics in Dust, but game mechanics that give fun, balanced gameplay within the constraints of both the developers and the PS3's abilities have been trumping real life physics and should continue to do so.

As for tanks, don't go FOTM and you won't have to deal with my exploding jeeps.
I'm going to presume that you're trolling Fire! Otherwise you've really lost concept of playing as a full heavy moving at a crawl against an enemy high speed light or medium suit throwing/placing remotes. I do watch my step, and I do spot most remotes, but the truth of the matter is that we can't do much about them in our ideal battle range of corridors, corners, buildings, etc. What, should we just sit in the corner not moving due to fear of the remote explosive buggyman getting us
It doesn't take massive skill to set up a heavy with remotes, and your claim that it's the heavy's fault is absolute bull. I accept that remotes are one of my big weak spots, but don't go pretending we can do alot about them The Commando suit has that bit of better mobility that helps, a suit that you're used to, so keep your comments to that, and leave main heavies out if you don't have a clue.
I'm on the fence as to throwing range. As to whether CCP have tweaked the throw distance recently I don't know for sure, but I'm getting flashbacks of remotes being thrown like frisbees that we had 16+months ago. They're not as bad, and I do occasionally get a bit of a laugh when I see one flying around the corner knowing I'm dead as I try to waddle backwards. Mostly I've a silent rage, but I do that for most instant deaths, remotes or not. They're grand in my view at the moment, but might have to be tweaked once cloaks are fully implemented.
As for remotes on jeeps, lol. If tankers agree to be only allowed to put one hardener on their vehicle so that CCP's windows of opportunity ideal can actually exist, then yeh, remotes should be stopped from being stuck to LAVs. Until then, suck it up and stick a small turret on your HAV and carry a gunner to watch your back. AND, learn to accept the occasional death from one, although I know that's beyond some of ye with the God complex ye have. |

Re's are one of the few blessings we have as a scout. Haha, it's definitely an incentive for me to get my rounds on target when I see the little present clutched in their hands sprinting and bunny hopping towards me. The HMG does melt scouts, but at times the way they move I know I'm fecked before I've even started firing. Still though, the amount of times that they have gotten me in comparison to the amount I've turned them into a red mist is small so I'm happy |

I bet you boost on COD, you seem that cheesy. It is not an almost invulnerable tactic such as heavy redline thale snipers. It normally requires one to trade ones life for a possible kill. I have snuck up and dropped remotes between a heavy and his logi and killed them both and lived. I generally don't get an opportunity to use the bleed out screen to detonate REs. But I don't see it as an exploit at all. Your clone mind never dies and can with a thought click detonate their REs The remotes aren't detonated by mind, they detonated by pressing the detonator on the clones left forearm. Therefore other actions in bleedout should be possible if the RE detonation is allowed. Or remove that option and therefore other possibilities. Good users of REs won't miss it as it's not a big tactic of theirs. Scrubs will miss it but who cares. |
