In blacklight, "EWAR" was primarily in the form of burst grenades, like you would throw one and it would make an area in a small field either highly pixelated, or distorted, or pople hit by a type of grenade would lose their HUD and have to wait for it to come back up, or stronger ones would "crash" their HUD and blue-screen their vision for a few seconds.
All in all, i think several elements from Blacklight could function well in DUST, with tweaks of course.
Honestly just suggesting this because i got a bunch of fee cash from PW and decided to actually try the game again on steam. |

As long as we don't have the "see through walls" on all suits as per Blacklight Retribution ^_- well, the see through walls was perfectly balanced, your vision for maneuvering and avoiding bullets/obstacles was near impossible because all you could see was enemy signatures, and you coudlnt fight until you turned it off, which took several seconds.
not saying i want the vision in EVE, just that it did have its counters 9also, it was wonderful to be able to see that camper or remote explosive around the corner to avoid it instead of unavoidable death) |

Just as well you could turn off the x-ray vision using the same key that you used to activate it. But, Blacklight Retribution aside, I would like to see more stuff =P I honestly saw very few people use that deployable in my day, most preferred cloaks, shields, and mines for their equipments. and most fo the people who tried camping still got hit with nades and killed anyways if they sat there for any amount of time.
now that i think about it, Blacklight was alot like they wanted DUSt to eb at launch, except Blacklight actually had a SHORTER TTK, only game Ive ever played with TTK shorter than blacklight was GHost Recon Future Soldier |
