The Gallente are designed to be Organicy, and ergonomic, and the Amarr are very much spiritual, and Ritualistic.
Your pretty spot one on the Matars and Caldari

Gallente, similar to their ideals, show sleek form far over function to a fault. Their equipment amounts to the iDropsuit. |

That's actually and Amarrian tenet.....perhaps it is shared...never heard that from the Gallente though.

Amarrian design favors form, but makes concessions. Note the presence of "backpacks" on their suits while the Gallentean suits don't and the sometimes mottled or asymmetrical design of their ships compared to the smooth and symmetrical Gallente vessels. The Amarr have the best technology of all the races and know its limits... The Gallente do not. |

Gallente suits are the only suits without backpacks. Only logistics and maybe heavies should have the backpack. The minmatar backpacks are a bit too big. Medium frame assaults should have no backpacks IMHO.
Also are the Amarr descended from the Scottish? Especially since the Gallente Scout has a backpack |: I'm sorry, I just don't like the Gallente design

To the Amarr form is function, every weapon, every suit is a portable shrine to their God. As for the Gallente I will look into the lore more, but I believe the Gallente made concessions for functionality. Given they are at war with a technologically superior people they cannot afford the frivolity typically associated with the Amarr.
Also I believe the Caldari currently are consider to have the greatest level to technology as the Amarr are slow to adapt to new Military tech....but they do however always set the bar for innovation.

I like the Gallente design from the waist up but hate it from the waste down. The devs got lazy as hell. The Gallente legs are so disproportionate it makes me sick, and their boots are huge. Specially on the female frame.

I got kicked out of Caldari War Academy for duct taping a Thukker Contact Nade launcher to my Rail Rifle.
Needless to say, the Matari welcomed me with open arms.
