What do you expect its ambush?
Ambush always attracts the protostomps and the fact that they most likely have SSD/SSHD so they spawn in before anyone else and can call in there tanks

This. OP has no clue apparently on what the hotfix consisted of. It was not balance from a skill/SP standpoint. It was balance of players per side, regardless of skill or affiliation.

This thread shows both extremes of this argument. On the one hand, you have the entitled crowd crying for CCP to "fix" the game. The other group is the "get gud or go back to COD" group. Content is the only thing that will make this game better. Matchmaking is not content. CCP should not be wasting their time on a matchmaking that takes player skill, skill points, skill point allocation, and fitting intelligence into consideration. It cannot be done. Those of you asking for it are unable to see past your own perception that you, or your "friend", cannot compete.
"Get gud" is also not a worthy response. Some players will simply never develop proper FPS skills. That is ok. The game needs to allow for players who don't have the twitch skills or decision making ability to "get gud". Content will make both sides happy. Balancing of certain weapons will help, but the game needs PvE, a deeper PC experience, the continued improvement of faction warfare, and a host of other improvements to the game.
Until then, as a player, you should be social in this MULTIPLAYER game. Surround yourself with friends. Get to know good players and run with them whenever possible. You experience will improve. Or, you can continue to be anti-social. You can continue joining whatever corp you see posting in local. In the end, your quality of experience with Dust is on you. |

it's almost like it's truly impossible to tell which squads will bring 6 tanks and which won't....oh wait it is truly impossible to tell that -.-.
anyone who thought this would fix tank spam as per the OP, or even proto stomps was fooling themselves. at best this patch stopped the 2 versus 16 match ups.
seriously you can't do match making with a patch it will require fundamental changes to the game modes. |

2 full squads "Matchmaking" as intended.
There is no skill/stat based system, teams aren't chosen based on their skills.
Instead their is system which pairs people on connection.

If you really think that EVE is about fair fights, you are gravely mistaken!
This is a gameworld, that is about everything but fairness. EVE is about deceiving and taking advantage of your enemy.
You will allways try to have an advantage over your opponent. This is not some E-sports mano a mano thingy.
Problem with that is, unbalanced matches are seldom fun.
So if we don't get something else to waste our time with, only the hardcore addicts will stay until the game has something more interesting than unbalanced games to offer.

Not only is Virtual unable so far to admit his OP here is totally wrong, now he wants to whing, and bang his heels because his skills are that low that he can't compete with Nyain. Yep, nothing of any worth to see here.
Here's a heads up. I don't play Ambush, I mainly play Skirm with a bit of Dom, mixed solo deployment and squad deployment, no proto suit or gun used, and I have a ball 90% of the time. HOW, you ask. Because rather than crying on the forums over a lack of skill on my part, I actually attempt to get better ingame. It might be a bit of a tough one for ya to grasp Virtual, but give it a try. Actually, I lied about the proto gun and suit thing. Once a month I might actually run it once
As a last resort you could actually try to play a different game if you can't get into an enjoyable level of an experience in Dust. But at the very least, for your own benefit as much as ours, stop acting like a baby. |
