Once all (more or less) suits are released, can we expect the same in terms of vehicles for 1.9? Im pretty eager to see the small and heavy airships and medium ground vehicles.
i think its pretty obvious small airships will be fighter jet / anti infantry vehicles, and that heavy airships will be for mass troop insertion and extraction. As it stands, the medium vehicle is a hybrid of the two.
Also, the medium ground vehicle should imo be infantry insertion and extraction, and the LAV should have a driver, a rear turret, and a front passenger turret to make it more combat effective. that or allow the front passenger to fire his personal firearm (small > medium weapons only ! ! ). after all, it is a light "assault" vehicle. The tanks on the other hand, well they just need a few more tweaks. slow them down a little, maybe make them require a tank fireteam to operate instead of a solo pilot? like it is irl :P

yes to multi man tanks, or teir 2 tanks taking more people to operate some thing like that. also i would assume the new vehicles would require BIGGER maps, i mean the current maps are designed to be assessable to all types but has no real appeal for any, id like to see maps designed with areras that require support x to access or some thing to provide a real role for the vehicle rather then another version of murder taxi.

What im guessing the MAV will be is basically (if you have ever played Planetside 2) a sunderer. A Sunderer is a transport vehicle that is able to fit a mobile spawn unit when deployed. It is not defenseless either, it has two top turrets that are customizable.
The MAV is supposed to be equivalent to a dropship, with a few tweaks. I think it should have more armor than a dropship (or shield depending on race) because it has to stay on the ground. What happens if a tank comes up from behind it? If it had the same armor or shield as a dropship, the MAV would be too helpless.
Now this is another thing that kinda is weird to me. Why is the LAV stand for Light assault vehicle, if the driver has no offensive capabilities? (im not talking about murder taxing) If the Light aircraft is supposed to be like a fighter jet, how is that equivalent to an lav?
LAV's are for quick extraction and the turret on the back is not good enough to make it an assault vehicle. I have a feeling that the LAV will be its own class eventually, (maybe a transport class) and when speeders come in they might have turrets on the front of them.

There is still a lot more that needs to go into infantry to balance it first, mostly a full lineup of racial equipment.

I agree, bigger maps was something on my mind. however, the maps as it stands are all on one big grid. maybe we will see them all linked up into one battle, and dust will take a PlanetSide2 approach (which would be incredible).
As for PvE, I think CCP need to give us an indication of whether this will ever be on their agenda. I think PvE would make dust complete, and anything after that would be a bonus.

Don't expect much they've been cranking out a lot the last few builds, I expect that they either have some post fanfest magic to pull out their sleeve or it will be another fix balancing and small future addition patch. |

Personally I think 1.9 is going to be nothing more than a couple of bug fixes.
By the time 1.8 hits or around that time, we'll likely know what CCP Rouge's game plan with Dust is going to be and they'll be ramping up anticipation for the next named expansion of the game being unveiled at Fanfest, which is now only 12 weeks away from tomorrow.
Any large amounts of extra content coming in the game is going to arrive then, not the point build just before it.
