I don't really see why they won't give a respec or that they even need to discuss it as they should have read all those respec threads (starting from UPRISING 1.0).
I wouldn't be surprised that they are discussing on when they should give it as they are still not sure of how medium suits (and other things) will function in 1.8 :
CCP Logibro wrote:Just to add, the Medium Frames are all getting some base stat adjustments, but no changes to slots (though that's not ruled out for post 1.8)
I wouldn't be surprised that they are just opting for a quick implementation and adjusting stuff along the way and then give out respecs after all things are set (kind of like a beta-phase ).
I wouldn't be surprised that 1.8 won't be that great, but just a run up to the greatness everyone is expecting. |

If they did, I'd be all for it and /sign it.
I don't care. I just want them to see how many people are frustrated with being handed the **** end of the stick. so people who trained into a suit specifically for no other reason than "it was the best", should get all their SP back so they can train into whatever NOW fits the role of "the best" without having to put any effort into it? yeah no. against a respec. Dust should feel pretty goddamn special with how many respec's they have been graced with so far, in EVE, we dotn see respecs, period, even if a class goes from top of the pile to bottom of the barrel, we will never see 1 sp in respec, only time we get sp back is when a skill is outright removed. the level of entitlement in this thread is suffocating.
I agree with the bolded part, but only after you made a post in this thread, but to play along with your stupid statement of they skilled for "the best", then why is it a problem that they shouldn't get "the best" suit after a redesign, because "the best" is what they have chosen in the first place .
Yeah no. I don't even use "the best" suits and I don't care if people want "the best" suit again.
DUST514 are apples while EVE are oranges, try to remember what your elementary teacher told you about that. Maybe you could see it as a removal of skills that are replaced by almost similar skills (I wouldn't be able to get the same logi-suits with the new skills)...you have just agreed to a respec . |

Can I sign a different petition asking people to stop whining for respecs. Constant respecs are bad for the game and punish those players who put off short term benefits for a longer term goal (those who saved SP instead of wasting it on FOTM).
Only if I can sign a petition about people who make generalizations that all people who want (constant? LOL) respecs skilled up "FOTM"-stuff and ignores all the other stuff made in favor of respecs. I would also like to ask: Why do you think that "FOTM"-speccers don't have a pool of unassigned SP saved up?
The reason why you feel that respecs are constant...is because people use their SP to actually play a game and based on that, they can bring unbalanced stuff, glitches, bugs,.... to light. This way it's possible to improve the game way faster than just idling your SP, I hope you realize that UPRISING was a fiasco (I guess CCP didn't know what long term goal planning was either). |

If the CalLogiTAR514 -version of the game would have been balanced you would have seen more counter-builds to it, hence that it gives an indication to an unbalanced game...
Dustbunny Durrr wrote:However, ever since uprising, people have constantly been whining, err, asking for more respecs. Check the forums, you will find dozens of posts on this one issue. The game hasn't even been out of beta for one year and another respec would set a precedent that whenever a major change to the game balance happens, a respec will be given, so rather than being cautious with my SP, I should spend them on whatever is currently overpowered, and then just whine about a respec the next time something is changed.
Check the forums, you will find dozens of post on this one issue. Indeed and I see more logic reasons why a respect should be an option. What about the people that didn't spec into overpowered stuff? I skilled up Gallente Logi before armor-tanking was usefull (that were some frustrated times) and my other suits? Noone ever said they were OP?
This is not (only) about stuff being nerfed, it's about stuff being changed.
The decision makers at CCP should have never released UPRISING in it's current form to avoid these problems we have today, we will never know the reason but saying otherwise is just stupid.
PS: if people know that one suit will be OP, then the DEVS should have know it too...that reason is gay as ****. |
