Hmmm. No. If I put an uplink down before attempting a hack and then die, I can't then come back in on the link because it's gone. F Dat!

I'd like to see fewer teams get pushed back into the red line not more. In a perfect game where everyone played like they had a stake in the match this would be fine.
If you can land a DS semi safely there isn't a single link in the game that is easer to place than it is to destroy. If the other team is serious about keeping 25+ links up at all times I recommend the Assault DS.

Here is what I see the most:
-Blueberries are a brainless horde (like zomebies) they don't use tactics. -A group of people go plant uplinks and defend them. This unleashes the blueberries to continually assault until either they are wiped out, the uplink is taken out, or they take what they want.
As someone who is typically an uplink planter/defender it is very irritating because I can't do anything else. I am usually the only one on my team willing to do and if I don't my team never gets anything done. Then when I want to go do something I have to run/drive like 200m to where I want to go, which is a waste of time if someone had just put down uplinks. However, blueberries are a brainless horde that just want kills so they are incapable of using tactics such as uplink placement. |

This is what happens in the majority of matches. It's one, or occasionally two logistics players who define the battle front for their entire team. If they are capable of placing uplinks to flank the enemy, then thier team flanks. If they don't their team genarally just sticks to a frontal assault.
Uplink placers are the commanders of the battle, telling their team where to fight. I've turned the tide of battle countless times by providing flanking uplinks. They don't appear by magic. I have to get myself to that location to drop them. I lose quite a few suits doing that.
Without those uplinks the battle devolves into dull frontal assaults with reinforcements trickling in from a rear spawn. Eventually the side with the longest trek gets pushed back and is redlined.
Think long and hard before you ask to have uplinks limited. |

The more closely grouped your uplinks the less useful and the more vulnerable they are.
Multiple uplinks should give infantry an option for spawn location. High density means several uplinks have the same general location. Placement should be made with an eye toward survivability. High density means one flux can take out several uplinks at once.
What problems are you having with high density uplinks? |

I'm beginning to get the impression you are OCD with a compulsion for neatness. You don't need to destroy every last nanohive. Relax and play the game. Someone else will pick up the litter when the match is over. |

If you post on the forums you should consider the ramifications of your proposals before you advocate changes.
Consider:
A Logi places strategic uplinks near several objectives to facilitate recovery if any are taken. He spends five minutes of the match traveling and making placements. He is discovered and killed at the last one.
A Logi builds a defensive nest at an objective consisting of two uplinks and three repping nanohives. The enemy arrives and the weak Logi is the first casualty.
In both cases the change you recommend would negate all logistical efforts with one clone loss. Support Logis would be faced with a constant threat of losing everything with one death, forcing them to cower in a corner once they have deployed essential equipment, moving slightly every minute to avoid being kicked from battle.
Nobody would find that style of play enjoyable, resulting in an immediate exodus from the logistics role. Thirty seconds of reflection on your part would make this obvious. |

Also, balancing gear mechanics around the behavior of players in pub matches isn't going to yield good balance and should be avoided as a practice.

best way to fix equipment spam. limit one per person not per type. none of this 30 uplinks, 25 REs, 30 nano hives stuff... 1 uplink, 1 nano hives. RE need a rebalancing anyways.

the game just needs the ability to hack uplink's ,inwhich already exsist but you can't hack them in the game. I found that a little odd but anyways if you hack the uplink instead of red it turns blue with the spawn capacity of an hacked droplink.
droplinks placed in spots inaccessible to ground units is annoying and a reason for more aerial crafts ..dropships can't get the job done because they are hard to fly and you have to depend on mates to get the job done. Aerial craft designed for one player with good firepower could solve the problem. |

Personally, I think equipment should be hackable although if so I would also want a way to destroy my own equipment so I don't accidentally support the enemy team. Perhaps clicking L1 while having your equipment selected causes any of those equipment to self destruct but only while under your control (not hacked). Enemy team spams uplinks? Well get a person in a scout suit whose sole job is to hack those uplinks, now what was an enemies asset turns into a massive liability for their team losing. Suddenly placing *and defending* uplink is a critical, full time job in a match.
Plus putting or clearing uplinks in strategic areas is one of the few things a dropship is good for.
That said I do agree the amount of uplinks possible to put down can be stupid and, while good for deterring, being able to hack uplinks won't stop it but will probably just concentrate them into a few more defendable areas. That said I think you should only be able to place as many uplinks as your single best uplink will allow (so 3). Now strategic uplink placement and defense becomes a core to almost any serious team's strategy. |

Yea I've always thought 3 should be the total limit (use 3 different uplinks if you want but no more than 3 total can be placed) but willing to go up to 4 if necessary (I like 3 better).
I equipment was hackable I would only have 1 fitting as it's purpose is already uplink deployment, hacking, and equipment destruction. Adding "equipment hacking" to it's list of jobs would make me stick with it exclusively. I'd actually ask for a respec so as to not have sp wasted on other things such as, pfft, "weapons" lol.

Limit the number of deployable equipment to 4 per person, not per suit. If you spawn in a different suit, and you already have 4 pieces of equipment down, then every one you drop after that destroys one of the previous in ascending order. Also, limit one equipment type per suit. So no more having 3 or 4 different types of Uplinks on your suit, you choose one and run with that. Hives can be typed as Ammo, Triage, and Hybrid, allowing Logi's to carry one of each type, but still only being able to drop 4 total at any one time (2 Ammo, 1 Triage, 1 Hybrid. But not 4 Ammo, 4 Triage, and 4 Hybrid).
This still allows players to place equipment where it is needed, but doesn't allow them to spam an entire map. |

Also use the already in place aura of the equipment to limit spam in small areas. Hives and Uplinks have this glowing field around them, so make it so that any other piece of equipment placed in that field instantly destroys both. Then increase the field size per tier; 5m for MLT and STD, 7.5m for ADV, and 10m for PRO. I would also adjust the hives efficacy so that standing in the middle of 2 STD Hive Fields is equal to being in one ADV Hive Field, and 2 ADV Hives are equal to one PRO.
Instant limit to equipment on the Battlefield, and in any one area, everything needing to be placed tactically, and still getting the same results numbers wise so that you aren't gimping the Logi's ability to do their job. |

Because in PC there is not equipment spam.... Btw, if you have a better solution to equipment spam share it. Why don't we start by defining the need for a solution first. What is the specific problem you are trying to address? i.e. why is it that you personally deem spam a problem significant enough to warrant a mechanical change?
Once that's clearly stated we'll go from there.
