Just sort of curious. I started running a Wirykomi Nanite Injector on my advanced and proto commandos awhile ago and really feel like it is the best fit for at least how I run the suit. So anyone else run either a nanite injector or repair tool as your one equipment slot in either an assault, commando, or scout? Or do you simply always run a equipment that directly benefits yourself?

I usually try run uplinks as my equipment option but I will sub in needles on occasion. I usually play a mid to long range flanker style so the uplinks are a solid choice to help me personally and the team. When I'm running in pack of in close quarters maps I find the needle to be a pretty handy option...particularly to pick up the sqd logi when he's splattered.

Yup I'm beginning to see some very potent Amarrian combinations focused on a solid base of Wyirkomi Nanite injector fits.

I frequently use repair tools on my non-logi suits.
On my scouts, my repair tool comes in handy as I am constantly running around and coming across wounded teammates. Might as well patch them up. Its not like I'll live long enough to make use of nanohives, and uplinks are hard to fit.
On my commando, the repair tool comes in handy in CQC when HMG heavies are around. Plus, in between combat, I can patch people up, as there is no need for suppressive fire. |

Back in beta Subdreddit often ran squads where the non-logis carried injectors and the logis carried everything else. It worked fairly well because logis were so slow and generally squishy that if someone got knocked down that you often couldn't make it to a body in time to revive it. I even ran an injector scout sometimes, and picked up a lot of people who were lying behind an enemy line.
If the scanner nerf is strong enough in 1.8 we *might* see this come back. Injectors aren't getting a logi suit bonus and with the general nerf to everything, you're going to need higher level hives and links on the field to be competitive. |

I carry a Lia Dia, K-12 and the advanced needle. Is a standard fit on my advanced logI, around 40K each and in a good squad it makes money. I usually play two or three matches to warm up and find a decent squad. I will raise or repair anyone any chance I get as long as I think they will live through the reps.

On my laser rifle fit I can't afford to give up my nanohives. On my scout remote explosives are too important (I do know a guy who runs an injector on his proto gal scout).

I'm often on the front lines. After the dust settles, I go and pick up who I can, and let them go and find a logi.

While its generally uplinks or REs - sometimes when soloing, there aren't any undefended letters to hack and I'm relying on meatshields team mates to hold the line for me. Plus the low pg/CPU cost means I can afford to fit better mods.
1.8 may see a growth in stealth medics, I imagine a lot of lower SP scouts will struggle to fit a cloak, or anything with significantly high grid usage and a cloak.
You probably don't know me. But next time you get gunned down or exploded by a Valor scout...check the name.

find it too pointless to run injectors now, as its hard to know who wants to be picked up, the only ones that press help are MLT suits ~_~ If everyone ran higher tiered gear id run proto injectors though to help peeps, but theres no point in picking up MLT suits. Would rather have them spawn elsewhere with full ammo/equipment/hp & whatnot

I run an injector on one of my dedicated scout fits, but almost exclusively for selfish purposes.
Having the standard injector fitted on my throwaway knife fit gives me an additional way to read the battlefield. With the indicator/distance marker to where my team's bodies are hitting the ground, I can get a pretty good idea of where reds are pushing from. Not an exact science, but the low fittings requirements and cost mean I can put it on a standard scout suit along with advanced knives and a CR, so well worth it for the extra awareness.
Secondary to that, I sometimes have the chance to score an additional 60 WP by picking up a team mate once a room is cleared, or if I can find someone still bleeding out behind enemy lines
