I am not a big fan of rail rifles at the moment. I know i will get alot of hate from saying this but if you think about it. What other long range frontline weapons are there? (im not talking sniper rifles) There is the laser rifle, scrambler rifle, and rail rife. The laser rifle and scrambler rifle both overheat very fast with long range encounters (charge fire with scrambler rifle) but the rail rifle doesnt.....how is that fair? Another thing that kinda makes me angry is the fact that you can kill things pretty easily with a rail rifle at medium to close quarters combat. At the moment the rail rifle is one of the most versatlile weapons when i think it should be high damage at long range and like half the damage at close range. Now im not talking make it like the laser rifle, but have some sort of deduction on damage at close range.

I love the Laser Rifle so much, but it's impractical to use with all the Rail Rifles out there. I'd use it all the time if rail Rifles weren't so common. I also think that the Rail Rifle shouldn't be so effective in CQC.
