I am of a Khanid sect of the Amarr Faith that is opposed to slavery. This is because a religious man of the Faith helped me when nobody else could.
I also follow Ida, which comes from being Intaki, since it's a way of life, not a religion.
Of note, I follow some Minmatar battle practices from my Father's side.
I practice all this freely in the Gallente Federation.

The Minmatar have many beliefs among the different tribes. The main shared custom is that of tattooing. A Minmatar's tattoos can tell you the entire story of his or her adult life, including their accomplishments, honors, failures, rank, and status. The Minmatar have a coming of age ceremony known as the Voluval, which is how we receive our first, and most important, tattoo that marks our shift into adulthood. Every tattoo has meaning, and is an important aspect of our lives and culture.
Among the Brutor tribe, we are trained from a young age to be strong and intelligent. The Minmatar military is comprised mostly of Brutor because of our warrior lifestyle. It is not required that a Brutor joins the military, but that tends to be what most do. The Minmatar as a whole, however, are incredibly difficult to generalize as a culture, because of the multitude of tribes in the Republic, like the Thukkers, who I know have been previously mentioned.

Family, loyalty and strength are our values, and we are one of the most medically advanced factions in New Eden.
My people can be found secretly in many places, but openly in few. There are sects in Khanid space (from which I hail), sects hidden in the Empire proper, splinter groups that live in the Gallente Federation. But our main home is in the deepest black of Null-Sec.
They call our warriors Blood Raiders.

You have been told lies, Paladin. You and I are not so different. We fight for our faith, yes, but so do you. Do you deny that some are born for greatness, while others exist to serve? Your Holders butcher the women and children of slaves every day, Paladin.
We do not hate you and your kin for driving us from our homes, we merely see you as misguided, denying the greatness of the Red God's power. He is the same God that you pray to by another name.
No faction is completely comprised of those that hunt and fight, or else it would have collapsed centuries ago. We do not hate you Paladin, but we will defend our secrets, our homes and our land. And we will always hunt.

Such treatment of slaves is strictly prohibited within the Empire. The only time slaves are harmed is when they are punished for breaking the laws applicable to them, or they should try and rebel. In fact, the Empire does its best to keep families together throughout the process and provides them opportunities to receive education (should they desire it) and health care superior to any received by the lowest tier of the other empires.

If your people were known simply by your warriors, I am sure that the other races would believe you to be just as insane. The average Sabik is not even known by most races, as our seclusion and isolation paired with the ferocity of our warriors has led to many to think of us as simply ravening lunatics.
This is simply not true, though centuries of slander and pogroms have made it seem so. We have been dealt a harsh fate, but we do what we must to survive and grow. How would any or your societies fair with no trade, no allies, and no quarter given?
Through these hardships we have developed probably the best understanding of human physiology and biology in the sector. The Red God give us the strength to continue, to do what needs to be done, so that our flock survives.

I believe in something or someone. Not too sure what or who though. I don't think too deeply about it actually because at the end of the day my core values and beliefs are truly my own. I respect other religions and spiritualities though. Growing up on Luminaire, how could you not?
I grew up around what you could call your average Gallente citizens. Rather outspoken and surprisingly firm about their beliefs. Most of the older adults were pretty well behaved, although well behaved might mean something else to you if you're not a Gallente, but the younger crowd always been pretty wild and expressive, even for Gallenteans. Drug use and sex aren't taken as seriously where I'm from either. I can't argue with their logic surrounding. People should be free to do what they want as long as it's not harmful to another individual although I, and others, do carry a rather strict morale line.
All in all, I'm an eccentric amongst eccentrics. No, I'm not a hipster, just a guy who doesn't religiously follow the Gallente way. I've kinda assimilated other beliefs into my own to form something pretty new.
What I know I keep from my culture is the Gallentean aggressiveness and arrogance. I'm not like one of those fools jacking off to their own speeches about social justice and liberty, when they're actually doing more harm than good, or like those assholes who think they're always right, but just aggressive when provoked or when I feel provoked, and arrogant enough to think that I'm better than you, even when I try not to(It's a mental complex, I'm sure of it).

Those are very biased and liberal variations on the Blood Raider creed.
If you happen to be strolling through their domains be sure to check out the Blood Pit's or some of their de-sanguination rituals...... nothing pleases them more than butchered children, the screams of the dying, and the taste of fresh blood.
If nothing else I am familiar with their beliefs and culture so as to better kill them., filth that they are.

Our thoughts were always linked to the fear and anxiety surrounding death. Once we conquered death that anxiety was lifted, and all that remains was the pursuit of freedom in all other forms and the wealth to sustain it.

As if your own views are no less biased Paladin. You speak of the Blood Pits as if we did not take the idea from your empire's own tortures.
How do you know what pleases us? The de-sanguination of children has fallen out of favor with all but the most backwards of our sects. The purity of their blood has been passed in favor of that of clones. The rise of the capsuleer, and now the immortal mercenaries has delivered us a bounty of massive proportions, and the Red God willing, it will continue unabated so that we may continue our lives and our research.
As to the drinking of fresh blood, that is absurd. Blood is much to precious to be simply drunk like a magic elixir. The Bleeders store, process and purify the Blood of those who have given.
Do not let the words of others fill your mind with hatred and shadows, Mr. Ventus. It is obvious by the Paladin's words that there will never be peace between the Sani Sabik and the Amarr, though we come from common stock. And I must say, the raving of their priests do give our warriors a fearsome psychological advantage.

Ever since we left the bosom of the Empire we have been surrounded by enemies. This is a fact every Sani Sabik is well aware of. Threats of death do not frighten me. I believe women and children shall not be hurt less they strike first. I believe that all evil actions come back sevenfold to it's original host. I believe the souls of the dead watch our lives, but have no control. I believe in one almighty God. I believe elders should be respected. I believe in loyalty to the ones you love. I certainly understand that culture Classiarii Vadam sir.
I too suffered a great deal of discrimination because of the emancipation of my great uncle who returned to our Tribe, I always did think he was odd though, and ma and da held him at arms length because he used to stand in the square and speak of God.....
Still he was a good man despite what the others said about him. Still when the slavers came was him they all blamed..... was horrible seeing all the people you knew consumed by anger and blame....

Where to even begin...
Well, as a child my father was quick to introduce me to the Way of the Winds. I made a point to familiarize myself with some of the most popular legends, songs, and fables of the Raata Empire. This proved to be no easy task (I am pressed to remind all of you that the first Caldari civilizations predate that of any of the four major empires, leaving quite an extensive amount of material to be covered and memorized) but I still endeavored to prove my loyalty to my ancestral heritage. Yet despite my father's strict dedication to the Winds, our family would freely recognize certain Intaki traditions that my mother had learned when she was younger. This lead to a household culture that stood as an unorthodox amalgamation of preestablished Caldari descent and sparsely placed Ida customs.
I struggled for many years to find meaning in the literal message of both beliefs, attempting to justify notions of Wind spirits and reincarnation. This was an internal battle I fought right up to the time of my parents' deaths, which drove me into a bit of a downward spiral until I collectively decide for a time that both systems were nothing more than wishful thinking. I fancied myself an anthesist for some time while I continued to observe traditional Caldari ceremonies out of simple respect. Once I had finally gotten past the brooding and matured slightly, all those ceremonies slowly began to make more and more sense in hindsight.
You see, in this world there are certain forces of nature that doubtlessly shape our world. Through the transfer of energy in this universe, powerful storms can lay waste to dense forests and ancient shores. All of this energy is never destroyed, it can only change state. A storm may dissipate, but the water it has left will flow into a mighty river, that river shall carve out a canyon, that canyon will provide men shelter, and those men shall live on to see yet another storm. When a creature dies, it's body will go back to the soil and provide life for another, which will provide life for another.
Who is to say that this process isn't capable of recycling the soul just as one recycles carbon? Who is to say that the concept of the 'soul' is merely an illusion we use to gauge the amount of life this reality has granted to one organism?
Now before I get too misty eyed... Let me attempt to sum up my point. At the most basic level, there is no fundamental difference between gods and physics. Therefore, the personification of these forces as characters in legend and religion is not only acceptable but an essential ability for any society that hopes in increase its understand of the world around them.
This means the Intaki system of the Ida is just as valid as the Caldari personification of nature spirits and the Achurian spirituality that manifests fear and negative emotions as demons and foul spirits. As long as an individual can understand this concept, then whatever religion they develop is just a different interpretation of the universal truth: that we are all a small part in a much larger machine.
As you can imagine, this makes me rather tolerant of most outsiders as long as they show an equal amount of respect for other's customs as their own. As far as I am concerned, even the Sabik have some merit to them as long as you don't take the message too literally.

I never really took you for the spiritual type Galm...... knew you kept some of the tenets of The Way of the Winds.... perhaps you have potential after all.
