Hello my DUST 514 community. I've decided to write a post that I think you all will enjoy. Recently I've acquired two games that are definitely at least 10x's better than DUST 514.
The first is the Elder Scrolls Online Beta. If you haven't tried it. You should. It's amazing. It's Skyrim... ONLINE! This game will come out for the PS4 as well as the PC and MAC (which actually runs really well from my own personal experience). It's absolutely beautiful. It has some minor bugs and kinks that aren't game breaking but I have no doubt that the developers will fix them before the release in April/June for PC/PS4. The game experience is better and better every hour as you can really notice small bugs getting hot-fixed while you're playing (literally a load then a fix) as well as larger patches on unscheduled maintenance throughout the day (Multiple times... though only for beta of course). The developers actually work on the game and do not wait 3 months to fix something, extremely minor, due to all these holidays like Christmas, New Years, Chinese New Years, etc... dafuq is a 3 month excuse to fix a simple dmg bonus... lol
Anyway, the second game for all you handheld fanatics is Bravely Default. It's absolutely fantastic if you are an RPG fan. The game play is a mix between FF3 and FF9. It's got Jobs and skills and customization. Encounter Rate increases to allow for faster grinding or no encounters at all to search for things in peace or to run to a far area without having a billion battles. You can increase the game speed or pause it depending on your play style. The story is engaging and deep. It's in 3D (which is actually quite beautiful). I can't put it down, and needless to say I've not had one thought about DUST 514 other than right now when my battery on the 3DS died (lol, it's charging) and servers are down for an unscheduled maintenance for Elder Scrolls Online... What am I to do but read DUST 514 forums and get even more stressed out over a game I no longer wish to play!
Anyway, check these two games out. They'll help you enjoy life!

What's your point?
Because comparing "entertainment" to "entertainment" wasn't the point of my post...

You'll know if you like it within the first day to be honest. It's almost nearly like skyrim with a quest/storyline that is "mainly" optional.

That said, though, this isn't really the place to discuss that.
Let me ask you this... wtf else do we discuss in the general discussion? All i ever read now is complaint upon complaint upon utter rage quit complain. The devs never respond to any crap you guys complain about. So why isn't this the place.

I was on this entire weekend. Everything worked fine, aside from the 2 crashes which happened after the first hour of playing then never again. You had a **** experience. Sorry. But hey, that's what BETA testing is for. It's not to "enjoy the game" it's to "TEST" the game..... Don't be discouraged my young inexperienced friend!

Rynoceros wrote:ESO is definitely on my radar when those second gen PS4s are released. I plan on putting in some extra work over the summer months just to be able to afford a month or 2 off when Destiny goes live.
For all those unfamiliar with monthly subscriptions let me reason the logic out for you. It's $15 a month. That amounts (in a 30 day month) to .50 cents a day. That is like saying, "Hey, I'm hungry... let me go to Taco Bell and get the T11 with a Mountain Dew..." oh that just cost me $8 bucks. And then 15 days later, "Oh, remember when I had that Taco Bell and it gave me the *****? I want some McDonalds, a Number 1 BigMac..., I want it regular cause I'm broke with nothing extra.... Oh and drop the pickles!" Well that just cost you $7. Now you've spent $15 bucks on two meals in one month... And they destroyed your intestines.
So with a monthly subscription you save yourself all the horrible bowel movements and frustration of eating out 2 evenings and you drop it on a fun video game... It's really nothing out of your budget. Even if you're a broke graduate student like me who lives off of financial aid and $10/hour TA job.
-Comedy aside, my valentines day looks bleak considering my bank account... But at least I'll be able to play my favorite games!
