Separate on CPU/PG that can be use on equipment slots only, and second group that can be used on all other slots.
Benefits: I think it will bring benefits to balance between Logistics and Assault suit because It will force all Logistics to spend their(currently) extra CPU/PG on equipment regardless of whether they wish it or not. Of course they may not fit any equipment at all and cut ISK expenses, but at other hand they may fit militia stuff there without regret that militia things uses too much CPU/PG, and use it on battlefield from time to time when it is needed. That pool of CPU/PG on Assault dropsuit could be balanced in way that Assault require to cooperate with Logistic.
But why? Current situation look like that - Assault guy is choosing to skill up Logistic for purpose of using all those extra CPU/PG for what he couldn't fit on his Assault dropsuit, he does not need all those equipment slot so much. This makes him Assault T2 in Logistic dropsuit. I think that introducing this 'splitting' mechanic will help to reduce Logistics immortality, and will improve Logibro usefulness to team.
So what do you think?

John Demonsbane wrote:The reduction to fitting cost to equipment coupled with the virtually inevitable reduction in overall CPU/PG of the logi suits does it in a simpler way. No, because reduction to fitting cost to equipment is beneficial for everyone that have equipment slot, and cutting Logibro total CPU/PG is punishment meant for people that use Logistic suit as Assault T2 suit and bunch of those innocent with were actually Logibro.
Fizzer94 wrote:I think the same logic should be applied to Assaults then. A certain amount of their CPU/PG designated for weapon use only. Perhaps 50% of the total CPU/PG? That way a proto assault suit would always have PRO weapons and bad modules since assaults aren't meant to HP tank.
It doesn't feel good to hear that I bet...-_-
I disapprove of your suggestion.0 It seems to me that you did not understand: Me idea was to prevent Logistics from sacrificing equipment slots to gain advantage over other suits in ordinary slots.
Your idea is already in game dude, full-proto Assault have weak equipments modules.

What? I don't think you quite understand the planned bonus. It's only to logi suits, it doesn't benefit assault or scout suits at all. You were referring to "Logistics [5% reduction to PG/CPU cost of equipment]" now I get it.

John Demonsbane wrote:Correct. Here's an example I put in another thread: John Demonsbane wrote:
If you take the new universal bonus to equipment, and make a proportionate decrease in suit CPU/PG, you can still make a decent support fit.
Just for the sake of argument with easy maths, let's say you get 2 people to make fittings with a suit with 300 CPU.
Player 1: I am a proper logi, and have used 200 for modules/weapons and 100 for equipment.
Player 2: Umad bro? I only roll killer bee style, get rid of that nerd equipment and gimme all 300 for modules and weapons.
Now, you apply the new equipment bonus but drop the available CPU to 275 and try to make the same fits:
Player 1: No problem my good man, my equipment now only costs me 75 CPU so I still have 200 for modules/weapon. See you on the field of battle!
Player 2: wtf? With 25 less CPU I can only run 2 complex damage mods! I want a respec b/c you nerfed my suit after listening to all the crybabies on the forums! U suck CCP!
It's definitely easier mechanic to be implement rather than creating new one..
