This is fairly simple.
Flux grenades don't clear RE's like all other equipment.
Why not? They are equipment. They need clearing.
I'm all for RE trickery, but unlike other equipment, they can be very difficult to spot, and kill anybody near them if you try clearing it with your gun.

Why should they? Flux wipes out everything in 4,000 square kilometers. It would be dumb if they did. Toss it into a room and everything you spent 10 minutes planning is foiled. In a second without the person even having an understanding of what's going on

And if you need a lore reason or something, I'm sure the electronics used in REs are far simpler than any other equipment due to being Minmatar and being... well... just remote detonated bombs. Which are simple electronics. And it can be assumed that such simple electronics could be made immune to fluxes, whereas the other stuff has so many delicate electronics it is simply hopeless to try to make them flux-proof.

Lore reason? Really? Tell me what the lore reason is for all of the caldari rail rifle manufacturers going out and taking apart every single rifle they ever sold anyone to reduce how effective at killing it is.
You don't need a lore reason to make or propose a minor tweak in a video game.
Second, yeah, clearing equipment is kind of what flux grenades are for. Well, that and if shield tanking ever gets popular again. |

Except flux grenades do work on remote explosives. Unless you mean disable them without setting them off. |

Tried it 3 times tonight. May have been a bug, but I can research it more. |

I have used them to clear REs.
The RE explodes though which is something I would like changed. I think the flux should kill the RE without making it explode. |

its working as intended, the flux grenade basicaly over loads equipment destroying it, do that to an explosive and you trigger it, what i will say is they need to show up on scans again, atleast in some respect, ie maybe make it so you have to be within x range for them to show.

This would be a awesome addition imo

This, the flux grenade is like a miniature, single use, EMP emitter thus able to destroy unshielded electronic devices though one could argue that everything we use is in the far future and that everything would be shielded...

Flux grenades.
as an RE user I do agree on fluxes destroying them as well as other equipment. I think it might be a bug from placing them on the walls.

Remote Explosives In-Game Description wrote:"The F/41 series of remote explosives are among the most powerful manually triggered demolitions devices available in New Eden. Each unit is reliable and effective, using a mix of three volatile materials to produce a yield high enough to penetrate layered armour, shatter reinforced structures, and decimate infantry units.
These explosives are deployed by hand and detonated using a coded frequency generated by the Cortex Holographic Interface, which maintains a database of unique activation ciphers for every charge placed. The F/41 product line also boasts several other advanced features, such as EM hardened circuits, an encrypted multi-frequency receiver, and a lightweight hybrid ceramic frame."
They are immune to flux (Electromagnetic Pulse) grenades because the detonation circuit has electromagnetic shielding.
I think that's all the lore you need.

Flux does indeed kill RE's. Just stand back when you do it as they will explode. I like to think of this a feature rather than a bug though since it teaches newer players to take some space when they flux a point.
