All I can think is that a vet with a respec has less use for boosters, and CCP needs to make money. If you've been here from the start you'd know things would change, and that's the risk we all take skilling up. At least we've had a couple of months notice, plenty of time to save the SP to spec into something new. If having new suits added without a complete skill refund is a terrible enough offense on you to make you leave maybe they should just stop making new content all together, because this kind of stuff won't stop happening as long as they give us more FREE stuff to play with.
I'm not saying they won't give a respec, but it's a bad idea to ASSUME they will or that they have to. It will only make you more disappointed if they don't, and you'll be less prepared for changes.

Yes I have over 30 mil and still use boosters, but if I was able to move the 2 mil I'm iffy about instead of grinding and boosting for another 2 then it may not be a large financial loss but on a large scale the potenial of disgruntled vets leaving is less of a hit than booster sales. Besides, things are actually shaping, most of the people who would have left already have, a huge new content expansion would likely bring far more people in.
Like I said, I wouldn't mind one, but I don't expect them to give one.... at least not yet.

I won't be "grinding it out" if I don't get a respec, I just will be not be playing. If I get a PS4 and I'm still not playing Dust, I'm afraid I'm going to have to say goodbye to the game.
Can i haz your ISK?

BUT, By your reasoning there will be a time where Most players will Have enough SP to NOT buy Boosters. In this case CCP will have to come up with something else to sell us. So why not avoid pissing off vets and most of the infantry community (AGAIN) by giving us a respec AND giving us something else to buy?
You cant make money if you dont have buyers/players either.
This is why they'll keep releasing new content. Having a character that can specialize in multiple roles makes a great asset. Asssuming every suit was given a unique advantage nothing would become completely useless. What about people who join after the respec? They'd throw 1000 vets under the bus if it meant 10,000 new players.

That's just being a stupid consumer.
I agree, that's why I've invested mostly in core skills.

Why is the Gallente Logi change so terrible? It's losing a+5 armor rep for a scanner bonus which will very valuable with cloaking devices added. It may not be why you specced into it but why not make the most of it? If another suit better suits your style just skill into that, there has been plenty of time to save SP before 1.8.
