It is rumored for Assaultsto be 8 slots in total. C: 5-3 G: 3-5 A: 3-5 M: 4-4
Shield tankers are meant to have less tank, by far, but instead the inherent reps of the suits rumored at 50 HP/s is to be its saving grace. You don't need a high tank if you regenerate 50 SHP every time someone misses 3 shots.

Armour is good with a logi, and stand and fight tactics. But ccp wans cal assaults 70m from the objective...... No **** right Its ridiculous, in eve you can brawl, saberwing said they are longe rangers defending streets, just no, I want to brawl but not as long as armor obviously You can brawl, you just have to use it more like a cover shooter, popping in and out of cover. I barely armour tank these days anymore, because shield tanking is just so much more useful. Ccp wants us to not brawl at all, they want us to be useless

No we don't have less "tank" we just have less armor tank. Which is fine. The slots aren't the problem. The PG/CPU has been nerf'd to hurt us, thanks again DEVs, now they already have nerf'd shields. It's the bread and butter of the Caldari HP loadout. We're not supposed to have to get an assault bonus, we're supposed to have strong shields. Since we don't now we're on the topic of assault bonuses to be able to use the shields we were already fukking using. The racial bonus that people seem to be confusing is for our weaponry, but that's a whole different thread

Source? I would love for my Min Assault to have 4-4, instead of 5-2. Makes me wonder what my logi will get though...if they switch the assault and logi slots then Min logi gets 5-2...bleh so much for versatility, could make for a decent speed tanked highish shield suit, letting me get in and out for reps, supplies. 5-3 for the Min logi would be alright, but I do like my setup of 4-4 for min logi.
Were not built to be uber tanked in either direction anyway.
I am here to ask you one question, and one question only: EXPLOSIONS?
