Too clarify where the 24 comes from, CCP LogicLoop told me some time ago in the IRC the full list of outpost types planned. Why? Because I asked him. Damn I miss how awesome LogicLoop was
Anyways, the only ones I can 100% remember were- Research Facility
- Production Facility
- Cargo Hub
- Orbital Artiller
- Command Center
- Shield Generator
There were others, maybe just one or two more. But anyways just going off of the ones I 100% remember, and also stating that LogicLoop said the plan was to have a racial version of each one, that would be 6 x 4 = 24 sets.
So yeah, very very long time from now if that is still the plan. LogicLoop said something about a full set taking approximately 3 months to complete, and but that time getting smaller and smaller as they progress since they'd reuse assets and such.
Of course, now that CCP LogicLoop no longer works for CCP I have no clue if any of this info is still valid.

so if they dont recycle old things and make one every 3 months it would take 6 years Trimmed down the part of my message you quoted for emphasis. They would be reusing certain assets, like for instance reusing the floor textures, wall textures, stair sets, and stuff like that from the most recent Gallente Research Facility set. So towards the end it would be faster than 3 months each, thus not quite 6 years. Even then, I suppose 6 years isn't that bad if Dust is really going to last 10 years, but man I wish they'd find a way to get this done faster without rushing the quality. I'm not exactly sure how they'd do that, but dropping LogicLoop is definitely a step backwards in my opinion (of course I don't have all the information so it is just that, my opinion).
