Gallente ought to be good in CQC so allowing them to reload faster would give them more of an advantage than a dispersion bonus, and on the flip side reduced dispersion makes the RR more effective at range, maybe that's just me and logic though...

Remeber posts keep the thread on the front page, don't get off topic though as if it's banned our voices will not be heard as easily.

Arkena Wyrnspire wrote:Dispersion will affect the hipfire. That's CQC material right there.
Also, a reload bonus is pretty useless for most weapons. No CQC Gallente weapon would seriously benefit from this - the PR gets 5 seconds sustained fire anyway. true, but smaller hipfire after a certain point decreases CQC effectiveness, and increases ranged effectiveness
Reload is useless in most scenarios but it's harder to try to say increase damage to blaster then people will blindly yell OP without checking stats anyway 50% reduced reload would be huge...

Ryme Intrinseca wrote:This just shifts the rubbish bonus from Caldari to Gallente.
Maybe give Caldari the kick/dispersion bonus and Gallente a RoF bonus? Fits the full auto Gallente rifle well. I see your point, I wouldn't mind a RoF bonus either because it increases ammo consumption as well as DPS...

Caldari got a Reload bonus because their weapons are the slowest to reload and this is their ONLY drawback. Buffing something else on the RR would make an "OP" even more "OP". Don't forget there's a weapon rework. I think Calda assault will LOOOOOOOOOVE the reload bonus once their mag is 25 bullet. Now if that is the case I will be happy with Cal Assaults getting a reload bonus...

Seigfried Warheit wrote:Does the Rail Rifle bullets disperse that much that we need a bonus for reduction to dispersion? Perhaps just me but it seems pretty pinpoint and that bonus would be more useless than the ammo reload speed for the Caldari Assault suit.
Every assault suit bonus that was released so far compliments there weapons excellently however our skill doesn't do that sadly. We need to come up with a bonus that will compliment our weapons as range fighters. Maybe zoom fidelity and ROF? I read one about spool up time reduction I like it but its only effects the RR and Charged sniper..I would like a skill that makes all Caldari weaponry deadlier in our hands than with any other suit that includes all snipers and of course the rail rifle maybe even that one odd gun the swarm launcher.
We need to come up with a skill that we can agree on and push for all together so the devs will at least acknowledge that it is a issue ...which is probably gonna be easier said than done. RoF would be a good Gal one to be honest, Caldari is the hard one to comment on.

Joseph Ridgeson wrote:CCP wants to increase Time to Kill. A ROF boost and a damage boost will probably not happen as it directly goes against that agenda. Farther zoom REALLY hurts when trying to use the Scope at closer range. Ye olde Sharpshooter was removed because of the ability to make weapons go farther; it was the biggest example of "I haz more SP lulz" in the game at the time. I doubt bringing it back is on the table. Also, bonuses should not only affect a single weapon. "Better optimal range with Rail Rifle" only helps Rail Rifle whereas the other bonuses at LEAST work on two weapons.
The Gallente is only when shooting from the hip. Giving it to the Rail Rifle, which is almost always used in ADS, would be a waste. Reload speed really doesn't help in close combat. The only scenario is helps is if BOTH combatants run out of ammunition and go to reload and not a single one of them swaps to a side arm. Side Arms should be used to cover the "I have to reload" problem, not faster reload times.
So what's your suggestion?
also regarding optimals the Sniper would gain an extra 150m range at 5% per level

It is quite a tough thing to say because the Rail Rifle doesn't have too many difficulties other than close quarter combat and trying to give it less of a detriment there is really quite difficult. Reducing the charge time is more meaningless because it still is within the realm of blinking speed (and doesn't help the Sniper Rifle). Reload speed is extremely boring and is not able to be seen where all the SP went for the user. Being able to shoot your ScR more lets you see where the SP went for Amarr, getting a laser focused Assault Rifle (please change the name) tells you where the SP went for Gallente, and having 11 shots in a Mass Driver lets you see what you paid for. I think it was from King of the Hill where Peggy was describing a bunch of hipsters but it applies to most humans: "They don't know what they want, only what the don't want." So despite not knowing what I want, I know it isn't a reload bonus. Hmm okay... good point.
