Edit* the RR is undoubtedly better for many in pubs due to the range supporting the ever-dominant passive play to save suits, but when you have a squad that can zerg the enemy, the duvolle is equal to the RR, as you'll be close the majority of the time, and if you're good with an AR you'll do better up close than with the RR,(yes im a beast with the RR too...ask anyone whos fought me using it..).

The AR is just less noob friendly than the RR because of the ROF(goes through mag quick & recoil starts quicker), range, and hipfire, but better players can use the ROF to do better than the RR.
If everyone was good we'd be using the ScR though.
Much like snipers in COD and the AWP in CS:S really.

I still use a blaster rifle on one of my proto scout builds. My speed build actually. 10.01 meters per second. I actually can't fit a rail rifle on that one because of the kin cats. It works out pretty good, seeing as how most of my Engagements are usually CQC, because I can usually get to dictate the terms of engagement. {:)}{3GÇó>
