Caldari Assault will officially be worse than a Matari Assault Amarr Assault needs a penalty to using charge shots, not a bonus Matari Assault (Way to promote explosive spam) Gallente Ass. Can no longer fit it's racial weapons easily
Gallente logi is set to be a scan master... Amarr Logi is now a suit designed for uplink spam....... (You do realise uplink spam has broken gameplay for a long time) Matari Logi is no longer the Hacker we specced into (We are now prison bait, having to be joined at hip with heavys) Cal logi, I haven't really looked at but I presume its spam hives
Scouts I haven't seen confirmed, and I'm too afraid what you will change so I do not want to look at it ... Also if scouts Db is lowered will this make even MLT scouts un-scannable by basic/adv? If so thats a nice way to reward SP investment.....
I'm not happy with most of these I thought you were going for balance CCP from what I see it's just adding more to your to-do list
Logi's are being punished for your mistake, It is not a Logi's fault that you let Full Proto logi's scrub up and equip compact hives... The passive rep is 100% essential on a logistics suit.... Is it so hard for you guys to punish the players who deserve it??
I could rant a lot more on this, but seen as how obvious most of the issues are I won't bother ....

I won't really comment on the Assault bonuses, total can of worms there. They were limited on what bonuses to actually apply because commandoes use some of the assaultier ones.
But the logi bonuses are pretty much just off setting the equipment changes. Gal logis may scan great but are limited because scanners don't do 360s and their bonus doesn't affect cool downs. Amarr logi is just off setting the uplink reduction, it's a good thing because all logis won't be able to run uplinks as effectively. Caldari, same thing, they may spam hives but the other logis won't be as effective. Minnie will be fine, they may not be as effective using spammed equipment but get behind that heavy and you beat everyone.
Scout base SP will get you below ADV scanners (if they keep the same stats.) If you got into Basic/ADV scanners just to scan scouts you were going to have a tough realization even now. Not wasted SP, just not meant to pick up scouts.

Your comment on the Gallente assault is incorrect. It can, in fact, still fit things okay because now there is a blanket reduction of 25% to fitting resource costs of all light weapons and sidearms. It'll help even more than previously, and is no longer tethered to racial gear. Admittedly, it's across all of the assaults.
The Minmatar and Amarr assaults have very powerful bonuses - Both of them greatly benefit from their bonuses. The laser rifle might actually live on the Amarr assault with that bonus and the apparently upcoming buff, and the CR is going to be absolutely fearsome with an even larger clip size.
The Caldari assault bonus is hilariously bad. I personally think that a charge/spool-up time reduction would be good. Gallente assault bonus isn't terrible, but it's pretty meh.

I should have been clearer on that, I meant that the Gallente Assault was perfect for its racial weapon Plasma Cannon as it has a pretty high CPU cost, but if what you say on 25% reduction is right then it seems it will balance out with that.... thanks for info

Yeah, I dunno how much time you spend in CQC engagements or have used the Gallente Assault bonus but a dispersion/kick bonus that only applies to two weapons (Assault Rifle and Shotgun) isn't that great. Especially considering that both need dispersion for high intensity CQC engagements. A lot of players who specced into the Assault Rifle completely avoided the Sharpshooter skill because of that reason.
Just as well, a reduction in dispersion to shotguns isn't something I'd consider a "buff". Turning the shotgun into an ultra-low range sniper rifle isn't going to sit well.

Stop complaining like a little kid. Just TRY to understand the bonuses. They're all damn genius.
Slayer Logi is doomed. Assault is getting perfect bonus on weaponery. (All of them. I worked on all of them and they're deadly.) Commandos gets useful things. Heavy are perfects. Scouts are awesome (exept amarr bonus)

Assaults are about offensive capabilities, therefore they should have bonuses to increase weapon effectiveness. HP related things fit better on sentinels, not assaults. That being said, I don't think the reload bonus is nearly as appealing as some of the others, I would bundle (kind of like how Minmatar scout is getting hacking speed and knife damage bundled in one bonus) it with an ammo reserves bonus, and a kick reduction bonus to make it more useful. Maybe even an effective range bonus, if the rail weapons get an effective range reduction to compensate. I guess I would also be fine with the reload bonus being bundled with a 3% shield module efficacy or recharge bonus, as long as they also keep a weapon related bonus for hybrid-railgun weapons.
Your comment on Amarr assaults are absolutely ridiculous. Why would anyone spec into a suit that HURTS their racial weapons instead of helping them? Hell no.
Minmatar assault has a good bonus, but I would change the explosive part to increase total ammo, not magazine size.
Regarding your comment on Gallente, Gallente will still be able to fit weapons as good as they can right now (and not just racial weapons), that's because the assault role bonus that they all share is light weapon/sidearm PG/CPU reduction.
As for logis. Logis are about equipment, so it only makes sense that they get bonuses to their race's equipment (Amarr manufacture drop uplinks for example). Regarding your equipment "spam" comment, the bonuses don't increase the number of equipment you can have deployed, so your concerns are completely irrelevant. Hacking speed fits much better on a scout.
All missing racial light suits and scouts are being added (same with heavies/sentinels/commandos), and scouts are getting a second equipment slots, more scan radius, lower base scan profile, Minmatar scout is getting the hacking bonus in addition to the knife bonus. There are some problems with the proposed bonuses, but it seems like you just want to whine about literally every bonus, and not even try to be constructive.

I tried to point out where I can see it going wrong... And obviously I don't want the Amarr bonus to reduce its effectiveness I should have said that it just doesn't need an added bonus as the ScR is too powerful, with the bonus it just gets even more OP
All of you comment here a lot though so obviously your in a better place than me to comment
regardless what I think of the bonuses, with this many changes a respec is needed

Not only is the Gallente bonus very lack lustre when thinking about actual ingame scenarios (I.E not on paper cuz on paper it sounds nice) but the Caldari assault suit is getting both a bonus that really DOES NOT fit the Caldari philosophy as well as stealing from the Commandos bonus. I honestly do not see the logic in this.
Compare that to the Amarr bonus that keeps its Scram rifle cooled and the Minmatar bonus that will work wonders on all of the Minny tech. |
