I think they're all next, except the LR, which is as it should be.

But that just pissed me off. I can't believe this ****. It's getting real old how a bunch of short sighted pub players who don't rarely know what they are talking about can get CCP to nerf weapons that don't need any nerfing. Alright, I'm answering some posts and its time to get some beer. Morons!! Sorry guy, while I personally don't think the RR is OP, I also don't believe CCP makes balance changes just on forum QQ. They have a ton of hard data on what weapons are getting kills in Dust and are basing nerfs/buffs off of that. Supposedly all rifles are getting some nerfing which may be a good thing, as I think TTK needs to go up some. My worry is that with rifle nerfs combined with resistances means Sentinel suits are going to be little walking battlemechs able to engage whole squads without Sentinels by themselves. Probably will be good for my main character who is logi, but won't be good for the game as a whole. Also, as someone with a degree in a science, changing so many variables together is a terrible idea to me
Agreed on all counts (nerd epeen moment, I have multiple degrees in the hard sciences
). It's a common diversionary tactic around here to blame the forum community and all the "completely baseless" QQ for getting things nerfed, because there's obviously no possible objective reason that could conflict with their belief that something is not OP.
The bigger issue is not whether or not something CCP thinks is OP really is, because yes for all their flaws they do use some data, it's how they think it needs to be changed. Subtle changes are not so much their style.

You out nerd me good sir, I only have my M.S. in biology (and an M.S. in Education, but that's a fluff degree). Anyway, think that CCP runs an ANOVA to determine which of the things they change is really producing the desired effect?

 LOL.

That's a fair assumption, since, as you mentioned they tend to change too many variables at once, which suggests to me that they don't have the worlds most sophisticated approach to it. ANOVA, being so commonly used, would make sense. Tbh, I don't know enough about the more sophisticated methods (that's what biostatisticans are for!) to say if there's a better suited one.
