Uplinks are the best way for new players to gain WP and thus, SP in the game. It also gives them experience in thinking about tactics as a part of gameplay.
Dont just lay an uplink here and there, place them in locations to aide in the push on an objective or a location that is defensible in Ambush.
- Do not place uplinks in the open in low ground as it will make it easy to camp - Do not place uplinks in a corner that could trap your team without an escape - Place uplinks in multiple areas so that , if you team does get trapped, it can spawn in at a safe area. - Get to at least advanced uplinks as soon as possible. They allow you to use more than one and offer some reduced spawn times
I have an alt I created that has around 700k SP. I routinely can get to 1000+ WP in an ambush match and be at the top by just using uplinks.

Nothing Certain wrote:Yes, be careful where you place them, putting them on a pipe is fine, but don't place it where you have to jump to leave, heavies will just be stuck. If you place an uplink and it gets overrun and is being spawned, throw another one,or two if you are running advanced, as soon as you can. It will remove the one being spawned and save some of your unwitting teammates lives. I always feel guilty when my uplink is the one being spawned. If there are already uplinks placed in good locations place yours as the fallback position, somewhere out of the way but not too far away. If you lose the other uplinks it is the difference between being redlined or fighting on.
I agree with this. It is good to know what is going on with your team. If they are stuck, just throwing a link wherever can be good to get them regrouped if its far enough away. In that situation, you dont have to wait for the perfect spot.

Knowing the maps is a major part of the game. It can be the difference between a win and a loss for your team based upon where they are placed.
As far as combat with enemies, the best thing I can tell you is to squad up and find people who understand the value of running in pairs versus blindly rushing people on their own. While a new player's weapon is not going to hit that hard, two people focusing their fire on one enemy can easily take them down.
Also, play around with the sensitivity settings. They can do wonders for helping you to keep the crosshairs on a target.

You can only refresh uplinks at a supply depot by swapping out your suits. Right now, he only equipment that can get resupplied from a nanohive is remote explosives.
Another tip is to copy your fit and put different uplinks on each fit. Uplinks have a max amount that you can deploy at any given time but it is only of that type. You can use different uplinks and your other ones will not go away.
