Really?
ARs, SMGs, Shotguns, ScPs, Swarms, Forges, HMGs, and Sniper Rifles have always been in the game.
Nova Knives were new before my time. Not everyone used them right away from what I understand.
Mass Drivers were new in the beginning of Chromosome. Those weren't widely used until Uprising 1.3 when hit detection was at an all time low, making splash weapons desirable.
Laser Rifles were new in the beginning of Chromosome. Those weren't widely used until the very end of Chromosome when people realized that Viziam LR + Sharpshooter V outclassed ARs.
Scrambler Rifles were new in Uprising 1.0 and those didn't really hit it off with the community until Uprising 1.5
Plasma Cannons were new in Uprising 1.0 and those have never been widely used.
Flaylock Pistols were new in Uprising 1.0 and those weren't widely used until Uprising 1.2 almost 3 months later, when people realized that they were superior to the other sidearms and they helped curb the bad hit detection of early uprising.
Combat Rifles were new in Uprising 1.7 and those were widely used immediately after their release.
Rail Rifles were new in Uprising 1.7 and those were widely used immediately after their release, to the point of being used more than the previous noobtube, the AR.
The "it's overused because it's new" argument is bullshit.

I just hope that they don't touch the Assault RR because it's fine. Good. The Breach AR is balanced, much more inline with the other weapons in the game.
