for me, in all honesty, rail tanks. Im a ******* beast at aiming them, and i hate having to hit anything more than once to kill it, so rails actually for me

blaster. two to 3 bullets per suit (1 if it is a starter fit or scout). pretty sure it is hit-scan

also, the blaster has more bullets. which means more kills. unless you're getting 2-3 kills per rail bullet you can't keep up

Blaster in most situations.
In a Map like Manus peaks , a well placed Rail tank can make use of its massive AA and pick off infantry without counter.
BUT BLASTER most of the times.

One time, I just parked a short distance away from a building with a red uplink in it, and aimed my rail at the doorway.
That was an excellent example of player stupidity:
1. They continued to spawn there, and continued to get OHKed
2. Some tried running out and shooting at me with small arms fire, before getting OHKed
3. Some tried popping in and out of the doorway repeatedly, but got OHKed or killed by splash
4. The one that did the smart thing and just ran around the super-slow turret actually survived.

No lie, i think that the railgun is to OP against infantry in the right hands. IF im getting protostomped, i take out my MLT sica (the shield one, idk which is which) with a railgun and one hit kill some aim assisters, err...skilled players

I get kills easiest with my missile tank. The blaster has a worse hit detection than the missiles. I've aimed straight on a stationary target with the blaster and it not register a thing. The missiles don't hit easily either. You don't get a kill by just pointing in the general direction; but, it seems to have better hit detection so that you hit if you know how to compensate for the slight travel time to target and aim at the feet.

I... don't see how this is actually a question? There are no circumstances whatsoever where a rail will out-kill a blaster, unless the rail is really good and the blaster is really bad.
Sure, AI with a rail is versatile re: range, but really.
Happily printing ISK with permahardeners and MLT blasters.
Just let me get a couple mil more before nerf, CCP!
