Without wanting to inflate King's ego, but as a longtime proto-stompee not only do I think this is a good idea, but when facing a corp like yours, I'm more likely to be frustrated with my own blues.
Unless we've been red lined with multiple tanks, ADS, and snipers/RRs. In which case I pretty much take some Valium and calmly bend over I.e die repeatedly trying to get on some uplink action.
You probably don't know me. But next time you get gunned down or exploded by a Valor scout...check the name.

So for reference I just dropped in a match against King (he went 16/4 and I know 3 of those deaths were mine ^_^ ) - not redlined but close.
I played pure Valor scout , went 14/5, second on my team and almost as many kills as the other nine had in total. I am competent FPSer, but really I'm average - Im just a very underhanded scout.
King, I'll doubt you even remember me or this match cause you're probably in another right now anyway, but in all seriousness - what could we have done better from your perspective? I saw a lot MLT heavies on my side towards the end but In all the action that was the only thing I noticed - at the very least I can say my blues were trying and not giving up on this.
Hope you were proud of us anyway :-)

Your score was far better than anyone else's on your team. But most importantly, you kept fighting, you did all you could to affect the outcome, that shows a bit of character.
And for the record: I actually dropped squad at the end of that battle telling everyone that 6 of us is way too many, the games just gets boring, well not the first half of it!
Im not sure if that is true, you see I actually felt a little selfish/guilty in the second half of that match.
My first spawn was my uplink fit, but not realising there was a fustercluck brewing, I got trapped at bravo with my lil ScP and SMG against your proto squad. I respawned in my usual Shotty/RE fit because I got a hard on for proto tears (had to change to a modified stealth fit once I realised there were proto scanners about).
Once you finally took Bravo I made one vain attempt to drain proto tears - but if I was thinking of my team, I shoulda taken the opportunity to place uplinks to keep up the fight. Instead Delta was captured by the blues and everyone waited it out in relative safety.
Understandable though - protostomping is something I'm conflicted about. I love the challenge, but I've got decent SP behind me now. I don't think I could go though those early growing pains again. But truly, the real issue is the fact all new players can do is find a way and a will to survive at the beginning, like they are Spartan babies.
I'm a fan of CCP, but I look to them to fix the situation really, not guys like yourselves - we're all just players in their world afterall, I can't hate on you for protostomping, anymore than I myself for choosing to go for proto kills (specifically you at this point lol) instead of supporting my team...

Why can't more people be like you? You display talent, a willingness to adapt and have a great fighting spirit.
Why didn't you pick up a sniper and stayed the rest of the game in the redline?
And thank you for proving my point to a degree, do you play like this becaue you are skilled or have you gotten this skilled by playing that way over some period of time?
Explanation highlighted You can't expect players just out of the academy or within the 1st month of playing to do this and your basically reaffirming my point that you just want new players to stomp
This post in another protostomping thread probably responds to both points if you care. (some decent advice for protostompees in that thread - basically, go for guerrilla tactics)
Most people who FPS just want to shoot things in the face with a big gun - these people will probably hate DUST, because basic Gank and Tank play seems most unbalanced by SP and ISK investment.
These guys need to learn to squad or will die. They also need to read the forums and/or join a corp to actually learn the things that might help them stay alive and maybe kill people - that I think puts way to much onus on the player base to ease in new players.
Those who choose to put the time and effort to build a player community (whatever you think of RE - its still a community right?) have to limit their experience of actually playing the game so new players stay?
That doesn't sound right to me.
Telling RE not to be tryhards is like telling D-UNI to stop being neutral - it's not very New Eden IMO.
Also, tiercide :-)
