Excellent idea, might even add the channel and help out a bit.
Been playing solo a lot lately as a change of pace and the general skill and knowledge level among the average player is abysmal at best. It really becomes more apparent when you aren't isolated in six man groups that don't need much outside support.
I'm tired of players complaining about getting stomped and expecting the stompers to handicap themselves just to have a remotely enjoyable fight. Even in the case of a squad of all proto players, playing against a team of competent STD/ADV players can still be rewarding for both. It's like playing Street Fighter against your 6 year old sibling, you're expected to hold back just so that there is an illusion of competition, playing to the best of your ability results in an unenjoyable experience for both players and holding back makes the experience boring for you. Yeah it can be fun to a point, but it can't compare to two players competing to the best of their ability. Even if one is particularly better and almost always wins, it is still much more enjoyable when both sides have at least enough knowledge and skill to create competition. Ultimately, more enjoyment for both sides comes from educating the inexperienced player, not limiting the experienced one. |

Is it better for only one side to have fun or for both? The answer should be obvious, and that answer leads us to a solution of education, not limitation. |

Which isn't fair to them cause they cant use what they earned, and the infortunets don't get a fair fight cause your holding back. So... you hold back we never adapt, we don't adapt and complain or all your adapting gets crushed and we complain, its a lose/lose for everyone. And thus, we have Babar's proposed solution.
Work with those players for their betterment and as an investment in a more enriching future experience. |

PARKOUR PRACTIONER wrote:I WILL NOT work with a stomper. I cant. I wont. Its crushing to work with the same people that make me want to quit. But I wont. The challenge of counter-stomping is what keeps me here. Then YOU are the problem. You are unwilling to help alleviate exactly what you stated was a problem for both sides, all because you are too much of a proud, selfish, hypocrite to do what needs to be done.
Please, feel free to leave if you have nothing useful to contribute. |

You could try running some pubs and staying on team chat, you'll usually run into a new player on there every few matches. I'm sure you'll get a few takers. |
