Ya, this is a game, and a game is supposed to be played how you want, not how you have to...
I run Advanced and Proto, but I have multiple Load-outs, least expensive is around 25K and most expensive is 100K.
Like others, I know my average after the game is over, so I know how many times I can die and with what suit.
But @ least I am playing with my own suits not what CCP gives me.
Good way to make ISKs, drop multiple respawn points around objectives.

I only ever use advanced gear and play more defensively. If you charge in and try to kill everything you see, you're going to lose a few too many suits to make a profit.

I always seem to get roughly 50K ISK more when I win compared to when I lose. Though, getting lots of WP and destroying lots of tanks/protato suit seems to have a much bigger impact on payout.
