How do you make money in dust? Grinding in starter fits? Scamming? Mercin out to PC corps? There is a ton of things you can do to make money. Share the wealth(of knowledge).
I personally use BPO fits when I am getting low.

ADV suits all day every day in pubs. My ISK never goes up or down, it's simply static.
STD suits if I decide to go into FW.

Jihad jeeping in BPOs is my new AFK. Costs nothing and is pretty fun too.
I spent half my ISK on gambling, alcohol and wild women. The rest I wasted.

I only make money if I get really lucky. Most of the time I seem to be losing it right now. My wallet's dying the death of a thousand cuts. Maybe I should just run militia suits for a while and see if I can get my balance to grow a little by not having to pay for gear.
When I play as a sniper, I'm more likely to be nearer to the opponents redline than my own.

maintain a small profit margin at all times (about 10k isk) then find stupid ways to lose isk fast enough that you never really gain wealth.

I put price in my suit names. I've been playing long enough to know on average how much I'm likely to die and thus, the average I should expect to make per game. By having price in the name of my dropsuit "Logi Healer 32k", I know I can only lose 4 of those to make a profit. Otherwise, I got to my 12k or 2k suit or even completely free throwaway bpo suit if I've already lost my 4.

I've run nothing but ADV since 1.3
I generally float around 20-30mil and never drop below 15.
Nothing says "F**K YOU!" like a direct Flaylock to the face.

I rarely ever use anything more than a standard dropsuit with a standard weapon; my main fit is Amarr assault with SCR. Now that I have the Templar BPO set (which I recreated my main fit with), my fit is even cheaper. I'm pretty poor now since I spent 150 million on my Templar set, but I should be making money much faster now.

Balance suit cost vs. loss rate is first and foremost (like half the above stated).
2nd in line after that is fight to WIN the MATCH. Not hide in the redline sniping, not camp an ez doorway/catwalk/ledge for kills, not drive around hunting infantry in a tank. Fight to WIN. Match winners get paid more. I go negative K/D (go neg HARD sometimes DX) but most often WIN matches and in doing so rarely lose ISK.

I usally run a militia gall med frame with 3 militia plates with std combat rifle and an equip. Runs about 5k been playin for a month broke hundred mil the other day .I have no life by the way lol |

Reading all of this is educational. I see ways to maintain isk but nothing really shines. I guess getting rich only occurs by saving isk in pub matches.

Make more ISK than I lose.
You can accomplish this easily by running cheap fits or not dying much.
Don't use your expensive gear if you are not going to break even, it's that simple. |

Winning or losing has no effect on ISK payouts of public battles. War points seem to be directly proportional to your cut of the ISK though.

Mmm i love those 100k suits. Run them as much as i can... That being said, i didn't make much ISK since Jan, 2013.... I'm still at the same amount of ISK...Actually made 10 mil by running full proto, corp donations, player donations and such... It's not that very difficult to make ISK, you just have to make sure you win most of your battles, specially the ones against other ProtoBears. . . Keep your death to a maximum 2 and kill a lot of Red dots... If i die more than twice in a battle, then i'm losing ISK, if not i'm actually making ISK. So WIN>KDR>Loos in Mlt Fits |

Sever logisics: basic CR, basic RE's, adv scanner, basic Hhves. 3 complex shields, 2 adv armpor plates, M1 grenades.Roughly 580 EHP. Total cost: $18k
Raven Assault: Exile AR, BPO hives, BPO grenades, BPO shields, BPO plates. 650 EHP. Total cost: $0
Always profit. Just dropped 12 mill on new fits for proto suits yesterday after PC, still at 225 mill ISK and rising.
Running cheap suits and still being effective enough to maintain ~3.0 KDR: Priceless.
There's some things that money cant buy, for everything else, there's Minmatar.
I am here to ask you one question, and one question only: EXPLOSIONS?

Made about 85 million almost exclusively through the old FW battles with this character. Since 1.7, I'm pretty much staying at that amount as I'll only dip into pubs if there's no FW match available. Also, the only proto build I run is a sniper or swarm (lol) fit that I don't expect to die in. Otherwise, I'll run with cheap advanced fittings (less than 30k per build) or even the default militia setups with cheap changes (i.e. republic REs.) Thanks to loyalty points, however, I can run a proto AR build for about 50,000 ISK...though I rarely use it. Loyalty gear is a great way to save money.
Life is killing me.
