As most of you know...with the introduction of the new rifles ARs seem to have lost their place. CRs have high ROF,RRs have range,ScR has raw power,ARs currently have nothing. Why not give them versatility?(use in multiple situations) My request: -Give ARs the ability to change between auto,3 shot burst,and single shot (by pressing L1 to aim then pressing R3 (right knob) to change fire modes for example) -Increase/decrease stats accordingly when a switch is made -Other variants would no longer be needed (and would unclog the market)
This would require giving even basic level a scope to ensure some accuracy. And the regular full auto clipsize if you please. Since the gallente AR is a supposed "knock off" prices would be the same as current full auto models.("knock off" implies cheaper and less effective than the original)

i dont actually want any changes to the current ar id say its fine as is. In otherwords...you openly admit it gets owned by every other rifle and yet you want 0 improvements to make it stay at the bottom of the rifle food chain. You'ld say it's fine only if you never used it.

I'm suggesting 0 buffs,just the ability to switch its firing type. This (IMO) could only be effective with the AR because it ALREADY has the MOST differential firing solutions. It would remove all variants (but breach),and clear up player inventories from having so many ARs. If you chose regular instead of breach it would go from 7 rifles to just 3 (one per tech level). It would make sense for a "knock off" to try and compete with its own unique trait. But currently it's out classed by ALL other rifles individually. ScR is a better 1 shot,CR is a better burst shot,RR is a better full auto (even breach can't compete). But they are STUCK being good at that ONE thing,which is why there needs to be an ability for ARs to switch between them...it wouldn't be better just more flexible.
