Stop swaying side to side. I tried Aim Assist for a week and its completely screwed me up when I use the HMG or SMG now.
If you can't accept change, you will fail in this world.

my gun game sucks...just being honest.
I've been a Sniper in every shooter that gives me the option, so I've never been good at the Frontline Role.
My Sniper snipes, my Heavy will walk blindly into a hail of bullets, my Logi carries a Pistol cause he ain't looking to kill, just heal...

AR - good.
RR - good at range, awful at CQC.
I thought it was the gun but everyone else seems to think RR beasts in CQC, so I guess I'm just bad with it up close. |

I need to get my self a strafe pattern, right now all I do for strafing is dance everywhere, it works on noobs and inexperienced players but only against a handful of PC players, and find myself the perfect sensitivity for Hipfire (Have it for ADS, just need it for hipfire)
But for someone who refuses to touch Aim Assist, I think I'm doing alright.
Definitely not who you think I am.

meh my gun game is fine, I tend to die experimenting different ways to kill people though.
I also much prefer to kill people with an re trap then my gun which gets me killed sometimes as well.
I'm basically the cat that plays with his food too much.
when you stop caring about kdr, a whole new world of troll kills open up =) |

It made me lazy with my aiming, as if it would lock on and do the job for me. Only on high rate of fire weapons it seems to be a problem, though.

That's what DUST was all about the "Gungame" To the point where you got to know who had good gun game off by heart..and mutual respect would form.

I used to be pretty good back when i was 24, now 12 years later i feel like a shadow of my former self :/ and then the KBM setup we have here cripples me further.

I'd rate myself good but not great. I use a Kb/M so I kill more people who get the drop on me than I might otherwise. I'm really good at killing average and bad players in large numbers but need more experience against good players to improve.

Not too good. That's why I use vehicles. My accuracy in a dropships is pretty good though.

I am deeply unsatisfied with my gun game. It is getting better, but painfully slowly.
I'm sure we'll all collectively improve as soon as CCP implements a training grounds for corps/squads. Note to self: you need to practice strafing - a lot.
I support SP rollover.

That 0.25 charge time is nothing though.
Heck, my knives take twice that time to charge

I'm not amazing, but I'm certainly good enough to make 1st or 2nd place on my team with only my standard Templar suits and standard scrambler rile. Not impressive by most people's standards, my lifetime and weekly KDR is less than 2, but I often come out of a battle with a KDR between 2 and 3, or maybe higher (with the standard Templar gear).
There is a group of people I like to play with (and I play worse with them), but I generally play solo, or I join a squad that's already in my battle.
On Monday I had a really difficult close and amazing Skirmish battle. I had 3 one-on-one battles with this mk.0 assault, and I was only using my standard Templar assault and scrambler rifle; I won 2 out of 3 of the encounters, and even the one I lost was fairly close (and I was hit by a flux).
I'm not amazing, but I'm generally happy with myself in most battles.

id say i have some ok gungame. not sure if theres a way of even measuring it. but since i manage to kill lots of stuff and get a decent kdr with just mlt gear id say im doing ok.. normally end up on top of leader boards in battle as well.. unless its a completely one sided match with nothing but proto stompers on the enemy team thats really the only time i get below 10-15kills.
ill just sit back and use the better equipped players to do most of the lifting in those battles.. |

My gun game is solid-ish. I very rarely die to someone using a rifle. Its usually tanks, HMGs, shotguns or orbitals.
I tend to suck in 1v1s when I use the RR though. I have trouble strafing and keeping the aim on the target. With the CBR/SCR I am good at timing my pulses when I pass over the target so I dont need to actually keep it on. With the RR sometimes I feel like I am just swiping back and forth hoping the ROF coincides with when my target is in my rectical.
I use scouts or speed/stealth tanked min assaults mainly, so im usually at a disadvantage in a straight up 1v1 due to ehp. If im using SCR or CBR its rare I get beat, but with RR its pretty common. |

I'm a B-list Heavy. I'm better than most toe-to-toe, and I can usually rank high in a match filled with decent players.
But every time I come across the truly good players, I come away humbled and in a body bag. That would be the players who can Texas two-step while maintaining perfect aim.
Truly good players also have "Carry": put 'em on a team of scrubs, and they can take the match to victory. That ain't me.
When I don't have at least minimally competent blues covering my flank, I die like a b***h.

Awful.
My elder'd digits can not do what I want them to do with a DS3,
when it comes to AR's, SMG's, RR's, CR's,
they go will nilly.
A shotty or my charger... I can do...
but then I do have my ads down into single digits
you should know by now....
