Is it me or does it seem that when you happen upon an enemy uplink and someone has just spawned in, sometimes, they do not take damage for 2-3 seconds after "decloaking." Yet, on the flip side i sometimes go directly from the spawn screen ->black screen -> clone termination screen. -_-

Best advice you will ever get with spawning.
You can turn around, just dont move, aim or fire. You will stay cloaked.
Nothing says "F**K YOU!" like a direct Flaylock to the face.

I hate trying to destroy an uplink and someone happens to spawn at the perfect time blocking the shot.

I know if you don't move you won't decloak, what im saying it i can shoot someone after they decloak and they may not take damage for 2-3 seconds, yet i can be shot and killed before my screen even loads.

You move, simple as that. You might not do something, but is your controller old? Old controllers' analog sticks mess up and make your character move before you're ready. I know, one of mine is messed up, so I use the other one.

Yeah, it's annoying (on both ends). When a heavy spawns in, you start putting rounds into him, only for him to turn on you undamaged and tear you apart (I run scout suit most of the time)

yeah there is def a 2-3 sec invincibility i have wased a 1/4 clip of my hmg tring to kill some1 as they spaw only for another heavy to spawn in a blast my weakend ass

I think it's original purpose was to keep newberries from being spawncamped, gives them a chance to fight back.
However now this tactic is being abused by protostomper squads who get a good fight- Aka a fight they don't like. They throw an uplink in the middle of a hot objective, then BAM. 2.5 sefonds later you have 6 proto logis with Six Kin CR's ripping apart a squad of 3 commandos and a scout. The scout can't fight back becuase they haven't moved yet, and are still invincible for 3 more seconds. Note-TTK is 1.3 seconds at worst(mlt AR vs proto sentinel.)

Funny you should say, i have thought that about my controller for a while, i just bought a new one and realized 90% of my problems are glitches in this game. i'm not sure how i can move when i haven't technically even spawned in, my screen is black when i get killed, not sure how i can move in that situation.

ive killed people on uplinks who were invisible. they dont move so i cant see them but my reticules red and after a few seconds i can start shooting them and they take damage. |

Exactly, but have you experienced being killed as you spawn in. like selecting your spawn.. timer counts down.. screen goes black.. then you see your body falling and it shows you who and what just killed you... no standing still, no being invisible just spawn-die, thats the worst for me

It's not really invisibility, it's super easy to see when someone spawns in. |

Invisibility is ok but, invincibility have to go, because not all can use it. Also spawn location especially in skirmish must be changed (not 2 meters behind the console).
1.8 it's so secret that nobody know what will be in it, even after patch notes...

You have the invincibility for a short time, but explosives and certain things like tank turrets don't register for invincibility, so you'll die in the black screen if you get RE'd, naded, or shot by a tank,
Gallente starter fit w/ 3 complex armor plates has more HP than any proto shield suit with all complex shield extenders

I've noticed this happening a lot here recently
Running to take out drop uplink in ambush.....guy spawns....I wait TILL he moves so I can do dmg......I see him move and open fire......NO DMG and he turns around in the confusion and manages to take down half my heavies HP.......
Real heavies use lasers

This won't save from spawn camper you that the crosshair gets red if you spawn? And sometimes you will take damage before you can see anything (blackscreen) or moving. |
