when all the racil varients for heavies are out (excluding commando varients) who else expects that they use only heavy wepaons.
i mean currently very rarley do heavyies use FG or HMG. alt ehyy ahve is fckn comabt rifle or rail rifle. but these heavies dont relize they are dying quicker then heavys with heavy wepaons since they cant clean the room quick enough.
so who else expets the heavys to only use heavy wepaons when they are all out.
well not all of them will but hopefully the majority of hevaies use thier respecive weapon size;'s. |

I don't.
Commando's will be a popular build in 1.8 I think.
High EHP as they should have had for months now, 2 light weapons, equipment slots, at the cost of grenades and regenerative power.
Not to mention the epic racial bonuses to reload speed and Racial weapon damage.

Nope the only other weapon CCP have hinted at is a new Amarrian heavy weapon, speculation deems it to be a Laser HMG or a gigantic Laser/Scrambler Rifle.

Now see...that's what I've been wanting to see. ._. An effing heavy laser weapon! I can imagine a heavy lugging around a giant beam cannon that can melt your face faster than hell and its flames.
Btw, that Caldari Heavy looks like a dinosaur, and the Minamatar Heavy looks like some kind of retro space suit off of Deadspace. The Gallente Heavy looks like something I wouldn't wanna **** with. >.> That thing is INTIMIDATING!

I'm seeing quite a lot of HMGs now, actually. It's pretty beastly in CQC now the RoF is higher. |

I'll be using whatever weapon is needed at the time ....
If there is tanks on the field I'll use my Forge
If there is city fighting to be done I'll use my HMG
If we are out in the fields ...I'll use my CR ....
I don't see what's the big problem with this .
No job is worth doing if you don't get paid in the end .

Heavies can only use FGs for AV(which is stupid, tanks shrug off proto FGs easily) or rooftop camping, which isn't popular anymore.
Heavies can only use HMGs in close quarters maps, which aren't TOO common, or by using an LAV-which is unpopular and also attracts enemy tanks.
So we're left with medium-to-long rifle range being completely unfilled by any heavy weapon, while this range is pretty much the most common.
So, people decently skilled into only a heavy suit got no better option than to run a heavy suit with a light weapon that fills that range. And thats usually inferior to decent medium suits because of the quicker response time, scanners, and nano hives.
Gallente starter fit w/ 3 complex armor plates has more HP than any proto shield suit with all complex shield extenders

use the hmg all the time in my dren heavy . been fightn my self for weeks now to put on turdrifles 'sofar im winning . not sure how long i will hold out . hate that most heavys are going to kight weapons but good news is saber did say heavys with light weapons is being addressed in 1.8 . so hopeful they will be takn away |

I know it's not it's intended purpose, but since some tanks shrug off FG like it's almost nothing, i use it for sniping infantry in long range. Works like a charm.
HMG is beast in CQC, as well as Assault FG (sometimes). I made some hilarious close range kills with AFG recently, just funny when someone tries to sneak up from behind, u turn around in the right moment and....boom. Killed from FG from 5 m :)
So I think Heavies have a nice pallette of weapons to choose from. If I want to run Light weps with Heavies, i take Commando.

The HMG is a f*cking monster though-so long as its close enough to have full damage, it's OP as f*ck. PC's mainly CQC so it's super popular in it. It even out DPSes shotguns. Still, its uselessness in most pubs due to range definitely stops it from being OP.
The proto shotgun is out DPSed by a militia assault rifle, unless you have proficiency

Any heavy who does not use the hmg or fg should die irl they are very good at there jobs but then again some heavys are just bad I always smile whwn I beat another proto heavy with my std suit and mh-82 lol btw this is a 1v1 situation
