this surely has to be a fukcing wind-up! THIS is why many dont use or place any credence in the forums and the 'general discussions' therein.
how could a Heavy be advocating that we be restricted to only 2 weapons, and be at the mercy of scouts, assaults and logis who have access to almost 10? these being:
Laser Rifle Scrambler Rifle Assault Rifle Combat Rifle Rail Rifle Shot Gun Plasma Cannon Mass Driver Sniper Rifle Remote Explosives (equipment)
i call BS on this guy being a heavy. either that or he's living up to expectations of the dearth of common sense on the forum. anybody asking for this needs their head examining.
having a suit use an OP weapon does not make the suit OP, just the weapon, so stop comparing suits to weapons! suits should be balanced against other suits, and weapons compared to weapons. and with that in mind i'd rather CCP allow all classes use all weapons, i'd just $hi!t my pants laughing at an medium or light suit being 'stuck in the mud' trying to move with a Heavy weapon, 'cause as you know, its meant to be wielded by a tougher suit.
the Heavy suits disadvantages have been mentioned may times on here, people need to stop acting like they dont exist. just because they dont affect the performance of a weapon does not make them any less of an impediment to the user. That is unless you think having a large, slow moving target, that has no ability to drop equipment, and cannot access parts of the terrain as freely as the other suits, is not really an impediment. (if yes, see sentence 2 of paragraph 3 above) |

Now they're more needed as a class as a side effect.
is the problem that the heavy has a Thales, or that most likely he's in the red line, so nobody could possibly go and take him out?
ie. how many times do you actually find that the guy killing you with the Thales is actually in the mix and not within the red line? |
