Now my question is do you guys think this is a bad idea? I know the answer leans towards it being a mistake as ccp has said our BPOs are not safe but I have to wonder if it makes a difference that theses BPOs are part of a package and paid for directly with cash not aur. I'd love to get some opinions on this and please remember this is not about whether blueprints should stay or go or if ccp is ripping people off. Lets keep it on the topic of BPOs bought in packages. Hopfully ccp will give us some info soon but untill then I turn to you good people. |

If you have enough ISK then I suggest head over to the code sales section on the forums and purchase it from there. Other wise yes buy the collector's edition because it does have good stuff in there

The 'BPO's are not safe' was way overblown. They'll be fine. There's even a market set up for them now (partially by CCP, as well).
I'd say it's only worth it if you really want the templar gear and you want the EVE stuff as well though.

Unlikely that CCP would ever remove the templar BPOs. Unlike the militia aurum BPOs that were available only from the dust in-game market, these templar BPOs are like the toxins in that they were part of the cash-only package.

Only buy it for 225 million or lower, Templar gear are not rare so don't get desperate in buying one and remember to leave a tip.
Only rare one is the drop up-link.

Chances are these BPOs and others bought from packs wont be removed, only BPO from the store will be like they did with vehicle BPO which were never in any of the PSN packs

The Eve junk you don't need you can sell to the guys here for DUST ISK. If you're only interested in the Templar Gear and have no use for the box or the EVE stuff you should poke me ingame. I am selling these codes for rl cash too. *shamelessplug*

I'm pretty tempted as I'm looking to become a BPO hoarder/hobbyist.
The amount of time it takes to grind the 250mil isk in terms or raw hours vs what I get paid to be at work for that same number of hours.... I'm better off just buying them :P
Though I do like my job, so that rule may not apply to some people. |

That's Real-Money Trading (RMT) since you're involving real-world cash here. Just so you know, selling in-game items or in this case the Eve/Dust codes for RL cash is strictly prohibited by CCP Games Inc and they will no doubt ban you outright (maybe even permanently) if they catch you doing this. The only way you can avoid this is by selling those codes for ISK and only ISK.
Sorry to bust your money-making dream.

You're correct in that selling virtual items for real currency is a violation of their EULA. However, codes aren't virtual or an item in DUST.
Just like I am in my right to resell EVE Time Codes for real cash but not the PLEX I can redeem them for. It's RMT, yes, but not the "outlawed" kind. This is not even a case of interpretation. I wouldn't do this if there was the slightest chance of getting my account banned

The collectors edition is a physical real-world item, as opposed to a virtual, in-game item. As such people can buy or sell it as they please. This has been confirmed by CCP.

Unless they explicitly said that it was alright to sell the codes, I wouldn't risk it - codes lie in a tricky middle ground between real and in game items, sometimes they count as physical items and other times in game items. Probably best to play it safe and send in a support ticket. |
