Many people are asking for a full respec. Some are asking not to have a respec.
To avoid being totally butt hurt, I suggest that you start saving your SP so when 1.8 drops and if there is no respec, you have a nice pool of SP to spend right away. I have already saved up 1.7mil SP and depending on when it drops, I will be around 3mil.
If there is a respec, no harm no foul.

I have 3 mil sp now and will have between 5-6 mil sp when it hit, more than enough for my proto amarr scout* and proto cloak.
*yes I realize the amarr scout sucks right now, but so does the commando and I have that at proto too.
While there is no better place to be wealthy than the Gallente Federation, there is no hell worse for the poor either.

I think a large chunk of us are doing this. I have a proto suit in SP sitting around, burning a hole in my pocket. I could use it for some fun, but, I don't like my suits' new bonuses, so, I want at least one suit i like if we don't get a respec.

If CCP gave a respect I would have anywhere from 5-10M SP left over because I would streamline the crap out of my skills. Specially since currently I am a logi I have all my equipment to level 5. And in 1.8 I won't he doing anymore logi work, people don't appreciate me enough :(
If they don't I really don't care because I am already specced into the suit I want :).

I'm not gonna I realized that despite the changes i'm not gonna change anything even with a respec, I'm gonna go right back to using my Gallente Logi without scanners despite the bonuses there going to get. Only thing i would change is maybe the fact that I probably have around 1 million sp lying around in random skills that I don't use, like biotics, i rarely ever use biotics modules, id probably drop dropsuit command from 5 to 3, hell I dont even use heavies bringing it down to 1 seems best until they change it since i only use logi and bpo suits id drop dropsuit upgrades down from 5 since no bonuses from having it there yet.

Staying minmatar assult and focusing on one weapon group pretty much minimalistic :) due to the fact I only have 6.5 mil lifetime sp so I gotta be pretty picky also due to a large portion of my sp being speced Into the python. Owell we will see eh? |

lets be honest though would CCP do what needs to be done? because most players who wanted to go heavy had to compromise and use the only race available the right thing would be a refund.
but CCP is CCP, not a fairy godmother so just listen to OP and grind up some SP to waste on this new overdue content.
yes i said waste as in you will use it just to find it wasn't quite what you expected but at least you had that sense of novelty for a while.

I'm glad I've hedged for this in all areas. I currently have all equipment covered, all rifles with decent skills and all I have to do is just finish off Caldari Assault, already have Callogi. I'll be glad if there is a respec. However, if there isn't one, I'll survive.

I've been happily putting any further sp I gain and putting it in cores. Ds armor, shields, elec, engin, core and hacking to 5. Dropsiit upgrades are probably the only skills that are fairly safe to invest in. But if a respec comes, I may just max these and start pursuing only Amarr racial gear.
Honestly, Academy should be longer and come with a 1 time respec at graduation. Would help newbros learn risk free before they hop in the meat grinder, clone after clone.

Yea, I maxed out all my Dropsuit Upgrades, I'm saving for a new proto suit, just don't know which one yet.
