Two shots. That's all we have, and with the hit detection all iffy on shotguns in general, if we don't kill those heavies with the two shots that we have, we're dead.
Giving it two more shots will still be less than the militia shotgun and the reload speed will still be slow, same with the RoF, so it wouldn't affect the balance of the game negatively.
It's not like anyone actually runs these things, anyways. |

NO. Breach is called breach for a reason. (see the AR) Superb damage at the cost of speed and capacity.

No, you obviously have never put two Complex Damage mods on a standard Breach.

I'm saying to add two more shots because some times, one of them doesn't register. That could mean life or death when it means fighting a heavy.
Besides, let's say you shoot twice and each shot is a kill. You get rid of two guys and have some to go to breach an objective successfully if it's well-defended.
I know that the breach variants have less ammo than the standard variants, but 2/8? That seems ridiculous to me.
On the assault rifle, you have 50-something shots out of 80. Don't know about the smg, but the Pistol uses 6/8 (in my current level) and I don't know about the mass driver or some other breach weapons. Point is: 2/8 is flipping crazy. 4/8 is a decent ratio, capable of breaching, 2 shots less than the militia and 4 less than standard. It would still fire slowly and reload slow, too.
There's a reason NO ONE uses this weapon and that's because it's near useless with its RoF and ammo capacity.
Adding only 2 more shots would make it better. I would like to see WHY you guys are against it. Tell me how would it impact gameplay and why it's a bad decision on my part. |

I would like it to have either a slightly higher rof, more ammo, or slightly faster reload speed. Thing is a snail and is a huge ammo hog. |

The RoF is alright where it is, in my opinion. It's a breach weapon, after all. More ammo? Definitely. You only have 12 extra shots in your pocket and 2 in the barrel. That sucks. Adding 2 more shots in the barrel and giving maybe 4 in your pocket would be helpful, too. Faster reload? Don't know about that one. I think it's OK since you rely on your alpha to take care of your enemies. |

I would like to see this change to the Breach shotgun, modelled from the TF2 FaN:
ROF: 2x normal shotgun (up from 1.0 x) Damage: 1.2x normal shotgun (no change) Reload: 1.25x time to reload 2 shells from a normal shotgun (up from 1.08x) i.e. 1.5 seconds instead of 1.3
This makes the breach shotgun much higher alpha which makes it better for anti-Heavy duties and popup attacks, but makes it a bit harder to go up against multiple opponents.

IMO give it 3 shots |

new iron sights faster ads turning speed increased range fixed hit detection
hit detection has improved but its still a little bit iffy last time i checked. no point in being able to aim down sights as it currently is, it might as well zoom in slightly like a plasma cannon or forge gun. the ironsight is awful and for the damage its supposed to do youd think youd have a bit more range on both variants of the shotgun. |

Damage per Shot (in optimal, all pellets hitting) Proto Breach:633.6
Proto Normal: 528
Damage per clip
Breach: 1267.2 <--- BARELY above heavy base eHP (maxed skills)
Normal: 4224 <---- Enough for 2+ heavies before reloading
Damage over time (two shots : time to fire those shots)
Breach: 1267.2 : ~1.15 shots per second
Normal: 1056 : ~1.643 shots per second (faster by a factor of 1.43)
So, overall, here is the results of this comparison.
Breach does more 1.2x more alpha damage, but has less damage in the clip, less DPS, and reloads slower, and costs 20k more ISK to use.
Normal Shotgun does 1x alpha damage, but has 3.33x more damage in the clip, more DPS, reloads faster, and is cheaper.
I don't know about you, but I'll take the Normal Shotgun over the Breach ANY day. The breach has too many downsides, and not enough pluses.
Nothing says "F**K YOU!" like a direct Flaylock to the face.

+1 Breach shotgun doesn't have enough damage per magazine. I would be fine with 3 rounds per magazine.
