Disabling the Damage would only reduce the risk, not eliminate the risk of getting your DS hit by an RDV.. as often getting hit by one also sends you careening out of control.

But the issues are correct. Vehicle Impact Damage needs to be reduced severely and imho, possibly removed the RDV and 'carried' load from Clipping for a few seconds after it appears (helping pilots avoid hitting it when they suddenly appear from nowhere).

Or, RDVs could be visible as soon as they start to deliver the package.. making them more vulnerable, but also reducing the likelihood of them hiting you.

LAVs and HAVs... well as a tanker I'm sorry to say I take a perverse pleasure in having LAVs ram my but (friendly or otherwise) and exploding. However having seen how slight misjudgements can leave LAVs completely anhilated, the Collision Damage needs to be toned down. But not, imho, completely removed.

Toning it down would be my ideal like I said in the OP, but I think its probably something much easier said than done considering it has been an issue for a long time, and it still isn't fixed.
