The Dropsuit Upgrades skill tree has three types of skills.
Skills that improve some quality of your dropsuit i.e. Max Armor/Shield, PG/CPU, hacking speed, etc. Training these gives you a universal bonus to any suit you will ever use and some unlock access to modules. Skills that unlock access to modules and simultaneously improve those modules i.e. Armor Plates, Shield Energizers, Cardiac Regulators. Skills that unlock access to equipment but offer no other bonuses.
Getting the first group of skills to V would be an enormous benefit for any suit, any play style. This includes
Armor Upgrades Biotic Upgrades Core Upgrades Shield Upgrades
Dropsuit Electronics Dropsuit Engineering Systems Hacking
Profile Dampening Scan Precision Range Amplification
(Getting these 10 skills to V is somewhere in the neighborhood of 8 - 9 million SP.)
After that I would work on quickly getting everything else to III for ADV gear and LP/AUR PRO gear, but that's icing on the cake.
I recommend hands down that everyone consider setting some kind of priority similar to the above.

I feel that there should mods for anything you put on your fiiting other than other mods. Obviously. Since it seems the logi is going to be an actual logi in 1.8 I think mods that affect equipment would be helpful. Example: A mod for the nanite injector would increase HP/s

I am not going to increase my armor skills anymore since my suit is at 420 armor. I don't want to mess that number up. But yeah, all those little improvements make a big difference in performance. It is gonna take forever though.
What I need to blow up a tank: some REs, a couple Flux 'Nades, and... a Flaylock.

I have seen way to many Proto Sentinels running around without their passive armor and shield maxed. Its kind of startling.
It seems to be a trend, people skipping the basics, which are the most important things.

I promote training core skills early but rushing to prototype suits maximizes your slots and you can then train up and make it better over time. A waste of money in my opinion though. I like running standard suits with high skills.

You should post this in the Rookie Training Grounds. It'll stay visible longer and help the rookies.

Nanocircuitry actually gives an invisible 5% reduction to cpu per level.
Why the other skills don't is beyond me.

Didn't even think of that.
We can let this one die then and I can post this in RTG.

I have dropsuit core upgrades maxed on my main. I would probably priorotise dampening somewhat higher simply because the best mode of survival is being totally outside the awareness of your enemy. Even at levels 2-3 I was invisible to many who hadn't touched these skills.

Yea I usually tell new players to consider getting both Armor and Shield Upgrades to at least level 3 very early on, just to give them that extra little buffer. Especially with TTK as low as it is now.

If we get respecced I'm not taking shields to 5; Amarr Sent doesn't really need it after all
