What is Vote Match Vote Match is the trusted website run by Dierdra Vaal since the CSM4 election which matches up users to CSM candidates that most closely match their opinions and views on Eve after filling in a questionnaire about the game. This year he will be extending his site to cover the Dust 514 CPM elections.
However, we need your help in compiling a list of questions. The format we are using works best with multiple choice. Each candidate can only choose one answer per question, which forces them to have an opinion.
For more details on how the site works, please visit: http://match.eve-csm.com/faq.php#about
(sadly the questions have been wiped from last year, so you cannot try it out yourself).
Example question and suggested answers:
Q: What is your position on skill respecs?
* Never * Only one final time once all racial suits have been added to the game * Able to purchase respecs for AUR, but pre-nerfed (limited use, lose SP, high cost, etc) * Able to purchase respecs for AUR, no limits * Able to purchase for isk, no limits

There are already several questions that forum users have gone and asked every candidate in their respective threads. You may wish to cull those questions and see how easily they can be multiple-choice'd for use in the votematch, as many of those questions are quite excellent.
Thanks for the heads up. I certainly will. Feel free to link me to specific ones you'd really like to have.

Could you give a few examples of the actual questions to be asked? We're using a multiple-choice format for the answers.

All CPM candiates will be given an opportunity to submit their answers to the Votematch questionnaire at some point after the official list of candidates is available from CCP.

Although you probably mainly assess those aspects through forum and IRC activity.. you can ask still questions about attitude, priorities and approach with the answers being mutually exclusive. I intend to include some.
In the end though, you probably don't only want someone who is merely very effective if they disagree with you on almost every point. You're more likely to want to shortlist those who agree with you the most, and choose between attitudes and aptitudes at that point.

It's a tool to assist with helping you quickly discern between candidates. It's not a panacea and hasn't been presented as such. It's obvious certain aspects won't be easily assessed via a questionnaire.
And sorry if this appears rude, but let me be direct: given it's so obvious, I don't really see what your point is.

Okay, I understand now.
Questions (and their answers) will certainly have to attain a minimum quality to be included. All questions and answers will be available for review and I compile and edit them.
An additional aspect to consider is that with the OKC-style algorithm (look at the FAQ), both the candidate and the voter get to choose how important each question is to them. This emphasises differences (and matches) for mutually important questions and vice versa.
The voter can also choose to not use all questions, meaning that matching will only occur on the questions answered. The effect here is to allow the voter to completely disregard any question for any reason they like.
The means that with regards to questions/answer quality there doesn't need to be 100% agreement on inclusion.
However, we are getting a little off-track and ahead of ourselves. I'd rather focus on generating content for the questionnaire than debate theoretical quality of currently non-existent questions :).

Update: Dierdra Vaal has recovered the questions from last year, so you van give the questionnaire a twirl now, if you fancy.
