Instead of spamming 8 mines from two equipment slots why not increase the damage of each mine and reduce the # of active mines. Same damage output with less equipment to track. |

People don't spam mines because they lack damage. They do it because LAV's and Tanks could run over them fast enough to outrun the explosion.

They have a point, faster moving vehicles most of the time just overshoot it/out run it or simple move just enough to avoid it. Meaning the more you have, the easier it is to avoid but if you fuc* up, and hit it. GG. |

Just buff the damage of proxys to remote explosives lvl. It would be balanced cause first off vehicles get a warning sound when driving close to them and the other reason is they are useless against infantry.

Actually remotes that are proxy can actually kill everyone in the vehicle and not actually completely **** the LAV. Which is nice. |

The other day I had this LAV stop on my proxies, do a 180 on them to still drive out of them, luckily I had AV-nades. |

I am not claiming this. Though it seems we have different problems.
4 remotes and an AV nade or two have killed everything, hardeners off, tanks and LAV's. I've not experienced a vehicle outrunning an explosion or proxies exploding after the vehicle has passed. An LAV at full speed rolling over my proxies dies.

On you main point, no, I'll disagree. I've used REs and Proxy's for a very long time, and, the more I can carry, the more locations I can defend. I can defend one area from all but a dual hardened Gunnlogi, I've done it many times. Likewise, I can defend 4 areas rather well from LAVs and unaware tanks. Just leave them as they are, they aren't hurting anyone.. Except the people they kill.

Ok, fair point. I concede this to you. Though you gave me an idea.
A dedicated anti-tank or anti-vehicle "heavy mine". A single device that does more damage but requires something of greater mass to set it off? |

It has been a while since I actively mined in Dust, though a single miner can get 15 prox out with the help of a friendly nanohive or supply depot.
If you lay out your minefield appropriately, there will be no escaping it for LAVs and little chance for HAV moving at speed to escape it.
They are also quite useful for killing infantry who try to blow them up from too close. Since they can be detonated by enemy damage, if enemy infantry are standing close enough to one when one of their teammates grenades goes off, you will be rewarded with a kill as well.
When murdertaxis were a rampant problem, I used to regularly lay out a field, swap to a free fit and stand in the middle of the field. When they would come to run me down, they would die (as well as any passengers they had) as their LAV exploded.
Best part of it all was that they never got rewarded with the kill, it was counted as a suicide since the explosion killed me before they could.

I'm a full-time tanker myself. 20m sp spent on them. Since there's little left for me to dump into vehicles I've started explore AV. Proxy mines, so far, has proven to be the most fun.
I'm looking forward to the new commando suits where I can have a swarm launcher, proxy mines AND a rifle. It's very easy to set up kill zones, even easier if there's 2 of you. Lay a field and have a Forge gunner watch over it. Boom. |

I always have good results with proxies. They are good at stopping tanks long enough to focus some damage and from time to time a tank thinks he can just roll on through. Done right prox's were among the best way to take out the LLAVS of old. Just wish boundless weren't so damn expensive.

I'll settle for removing the warning beep. I could understand if it were only for a tank that had a active scanner running but to get it scanner or no is kinda lame.

1- I could 2 shot MLT SICAS, not even a MLT SOMA 2-Mines would have a limit of 3, so they will/must be placed carefully in an area where a tank is most likely to pass through. 3-This way we can avoid tanks getting their noses wherever they want , like we have them now. 4- a Hardener would still reduce the damage taken ,so i dont know what the big deal is.
