Pretty straightforward, just an LAV variant where the turrets have a rate of fire and/or turning speed bonus comparable to the Assault Dropships. Gimme my rapid fire Missiles and Railguns.
No, I don't want driver controlled turrets.

All I will say is this:
Wouldn't be called assault, as LAV means Light Assault Vehicle - would be silly to name something assault twice :D

Haha, fair point. I always defaulted to them being Light "Attack" Vehicles, never looked closely enough to the item description I guess.

ahh..i remember the first time i heard a 20GJ Ion Cannon on an Incubus with lvl 5 Operation...
i was like, "what the hell is that?" i'm happy i ran the other way, because don't want to know how fast that thing would've shredded me.

I went 17-1 with a BPO LAV and militia small rail. I wouldn't put any ISK or SP behind LAVs as far as an assault vehicle, far too killable. It's fun, to be sure, but it unreliable and far too easy to die (not to mention blueberries stealing your cars).

I dunno, really the only thing taking out my Methana these days is the Large Railgun Installations, its much more likely that I'm just shot out of the thing when I'm running solo. As long as they're not significantly more expensive than their STD counterparts then I think I should still be able to run a profit most of the time.

if this is the case i would add i would want cover for the turreter not found on all other lavs full frontal coverage with a small square for sights and turret like in most games rear exposed or maybe even half exposed
+1 for IWS to stay as cpm

Nothing, I just don't believe, if the Assault Dropship is any indication, that they'd be implemented very intuitively. I'd rather the LAV keep its gunner seat where it is in all its incarnations and just make that single turret more effective.

I'd like an armored turret so my gunner or myself don't get killed the second I or my driver stop because what's the point.
Also an av turret, I've tried on several occasions hunting/pestering tanks in an lav solo and with a gunner.
First tine was decent, driving around the tank in circles as he was using a militia turret and couldn't keep up. But his tank bumped into me and boom.
Other time I had 15 or 20 kills on the large domination map with giant crater on each side of the objective socket just driving around the enemies home objective, so they stopped coming for it so I went to the center to drive up behind tanks and shoot them with the railgun but they just harden up and drive away from me into friendly tanks and I immediately got shot out of my turret by enemy infantry, only death, but the guy did hack my lav and drive around till I killed him so I'm glad he kept the engine running lol.
Tldr: to easy to be killed out of turret, turret not effective against enemy armor, and shouldn't blow up randomly tryi g to out maneuver a tank.
Driving around and switching to the gunner seat with a railgun is really fun though and it's not too hard to get some good kills. |

Fair enough, I just believe that like every other vehicle it should be capable of or have a variant that alliws the pilot to use the gun.
