the nay-sayers can keep doing their thing, but this game is on it's upward slope and that's all there is to it.
ccp will establish dominance in the next 6 months I think. |

but yea, I agree, the haters can keep on hating...and visiting forums on a game they don't play. Dust will keep moving right along.
i'm not bringing eve players into the conversation. eve and dust combined hit over 53,000 today. |

Here's to 1.8 and CCP Rouge.
when that happens we'll break launch numbers and i'm gonna laugh and laugh. |

I'm glad to see Dust growing. I just wanted to say that before anybody else replies with that typical rebuttal. It's good to see Dust growing after seeing so many threads claiming it would die.

There are all kinds of padding to these stats. If you went by IP address connections I am sure you'd all be pretty disappointed. Unless you're logging in multiple alts simultaneously(i.e. multiple PS3s), then this doesn't affect the stats on eveoffline. How so? Also, I see a growth flatline that has been going on for months. Eve-offline.net tracks simultaneously logged in players. If I have 1000 alts and one PS3 then I can only play one at a time. On that graph I will only add 1 to the playercount (and that's only when I'm logged in) the other 999 alts don't affect the stats at all. But if someone logs ten alts in one after the other to get the continuous bonus it counts each alt.
these are concurrent user numbers. not unique characters per day. |

trust me when I say that I wasn't talking about numbers in your age bracket and specific region of the world. |

Same old same old people. If CCP was a publicly traded stock they'd be hammered.

We should be thanking them for all the CCP blunder that they've probably thwarted in all honesty lol! We all hope this game prospers, but we must stay forum vgilante as we've seen, with 1.7, that CCP can **** up!
what a positive outlook you have...

in this thread alone you've said dumb things on nearly every page.

Dust players are steady at about 4k players a day average. Zero growth. 4500 at the time he showed, so not zero growth. I just met a new player a few days ago, actually, and she said she's enjoying speccing as a Logistics player. It was reaching 4k because of the SP event and there are new players everyday meeting one now doesn't mean much. It most likely got 4.5k because it a little after the SP event and it is a weekend, if the pop reaches 4.5 k the next week and the following week then it might be experience growth.
2 months ago 3500 was a peak. now it's an off-time. i'm happy about that. |

Dust has to get that early game retention figured out. We need to grow some mercs! Coverage which mostly reinforces the general public's perception and stereotypes of gamers GÇö "$4000 Internet spaceships?! Who the hell are these people? Keep them away from my CoD-loving kids!" Eve in media? Give me a link man!?

It is a next Gen version of battle front. Without all the content. Its fun and addictive, but that's about it. All we really have is glitches bugs exploits and promises.

Tech Ohm Eaven wrote:Justicar Karnellia wrote:Yeah... had to double check the stats.. but players online seems to be on an uptred - new players being created are still rangebound (flat) And we had a large influx of MAG players since MAG is now DEAD....duh!! Sorry but in past three months theres only that single peak of 4500 due to the 3X SP event and other than that its 4000 or below. Past six months? sorry but still no improvement versus the numbers from six months ago. Past year same story.
games like MAG are certainly growing the player numbers, but the upslope started right at 1.7 I don't remember thinking 1.7 was all that awesome, so i'm thinking as time goes by more and more people who have been playing some other title for 2 months think to themselves "you know, I've got a prototype suit worth of skills sitting in dust..." |
