One time, I was in a match, playing like a scrub, and went 50/9 with a CRW-04 Scrambler Rifle and an ADV Amarr Heavy. 50 kills, 9 deaths, over 3000 WP, and top of the leaderboard, getting the team a total of 3-4 Orbitals (I had an a-team squad).
The game thought "Well, you're such a scrub, we can't give these to anyone BUT you." and gave me 3 Thale's Sniper Rifles.
I once was tanking, destroyed 4 other tanks and went something like 25-30/0, and in return, the game gave me a Gastun's Forge Gun, ADV Swarm Launcher, and an EX-0 AV Grenade.
I was once trying out being a Slayer Logi. In return, I got a Rep Tool and an Injector.
Sometimes, I swear this game tries to troll you through salvage. List yours below! Let's see if my 3rd post in GD can get past 3 pages. :D

I spent the whole game doing side quest to get people to go to my wedding expecting a full church but only found 6 people were there morale of the story is "**** everyone and give me DAT loot".

I like to do the whole 'roleplaying' thing (Lllllllladies), so I'm not getting married because I'm a vampire character. First thing I did when i was out of the tutorial was head to get Thalmor Robes (there's a Shrine of Talos not too far from the cave exit, where you find a dead Thalmor guy), and then I went to Broken Fang Cave, became a vampire, and immediately GTFO'd.

Pretty much.
I was once roaming around in a Scout suit, MURDERING people with Knives. And IIRC, at the end of the match, I got a Proto Sentinel and a Gastun's HMG.
Remember, no one is as slick as Gastun.

If I recall correctly Fw is based on what was lost in the battle by the opposing team. So if no proto dies there will be no proto salvage.
Also public matches it's all random from a list. |

FW salvage is very different from PC salvage. In FW, you have a 25% probability of getting something from the match. In PC, I think you get everything, but that's probably not true.
Either way, PC salvage is so much better than FW salvage. I've salvaged 11 tanks (6 Gunnlogis, 5 Madrugars) from PC alone.

99% of the times I do get salvage, I get something I can't even use.
The remaining 1%, I get something I can use.
It scares me to skill into new things since I will probably end up getting less salvage because I can use more stuff.
