When ccp did the 5x sp for wp earned during the triple sp event, that's how it needs to be, all the time.
Theres no difference between my sp gained from getting 1500wp and from AFKing. |

There does need to be more SP per WP and less SP per second for standing around doing nothing.

Yeah, I really felt like my playstyle had impact during that time.
Unfortunately, it would really mess with lifetime progression and cause people to be theoretically able to max out everything. |

Passive sp for being in battle is neeed badly. Protostomps mean new players can barely gain wp as it is. AFKers can abuse this, but I will gladly tolerate them if it means that new players can at last have some progression.
But active WP should be boosted high. If that means people can cap out in a day, then so be it. But When sitting in the MCC with a rubber band on the movement stick earns me the same thing as going tank hunting and losing two tanks while killing 6-7, which do you think I'm gonna do? |

That's been the practice for the last few SP acceleration events.
It sounds great on paper but isn't without flaws. It rewards WP whoring, which means logis not worrying about the match and just going for WP. Other playstyles are really left out in the cold because they cannot accumulate nearly the amount of WPs.
Also it's a killer on new players. You encourage protostomping because you want to kill as fast as possible and want as little competition as possible. Plus turnover rate is what's important so you only stay in pubs, especially ambush.
Increase both active sp and passive sp, just give active the higher multiplier. Would like for there to be a way to encourage competitive matches without encouraging AFK. |

To be fair he probably meant "very little difference" for the effort expended.
In a 15 minute match those 1500 WP SP are only 25% of his take. Not insignificant, but it is not in proportion to the amount of effort and ISK needed to earn it. |

The effort you're referring to is simply playing the game. It's hard for me to understand why people AFK at all when they could just play the game with free suits. I'm completely content knowing that I'm making as much as they are, having much more fun, and also making more ISK than they are if I use free suits.
I understand the point is that the proportion is lower than some people want it to be but a 25% increase is worth playing for. It shouldn't be looked down upon as "not worth it" when the cost of attaining it would be playing the game you're "grinding" for. |
