Sgt Kirk Fatal Absolution Covert Intervention 4292	Posted - 2014.01.31 17:53:00 - [1] - Quote Just two months ago there were many, countless AR is OP threads before 1.7 and now that 1.7 comes there are no complaints at all, absolutely zero. What's even funnier is that Plasma Rifle even got a slight range buff to keep up with other weapons introduced in 1.7. But the real punchline of the joke is that some of the same people that cried that the AR is OP are now defending the Rail and Combat Rifle when both of them clearly outperform the Plasma Assault Rifle in the Plasma Rifles own Ideal environment. I think that says a lot right there. Whether you think the Rifles are OP or not that's a thought to ponder on for a second while you browse amongst these threads.

I have AR to prof. 5, RR to prof. 3, and use both weapons in most battles, so have a pretty good idea of how they work. The RR is definitely outperformed by the AR in the AR's ideal environment (short range). The reason for this is that, while the weapons have similar DPS, the RR loses a quarter of that due to its charge time. I don't use the CR so can't comment on that.

That dosent make any sense. Combat rifle is by far a more powerful weapon than the AR The Ar is the closest to being balenced CR and RR are just as OP as each other

Besides, I had to listen to the AR fanatics dish up pretty much the same thing over and over and over and over and over again for months when it was even shown that at one point the AR out-dpsed Large Blasters.
