ALL Bombs have splash radius
EMP bomb - shut down tanks for 15-20 seconds - duration depends to tier of the bomb. WEB bomb - slow the tank speed with 70-90% - depend on the tier of the bomb. SCRAM bomb - tank can't move but still can fire - duration depends on tier ECM bomb - tanker can use only FPS camera for some time and tank scanner disapear CATERPILLAR bomb - destroy caterpillar of the tank and stop him. Can be fixed by remote repair for at least 10 seconds TARGET PAINT bomb - every hit is 2x damage. Duration 30-60 seconds depends on tier of bomb FLUX bomb - 3000 damage to every shield (vihicle, instalation, dropsuit) within splash range ACID bomb - start damaging tank with 30 damage per sconds. Duration depends on tier. Shields cannot regenerate. MINE bomb - works like remote explosives blowed by contact, but is droped by the ship. Damage depends by tier. 3000 min BARRIER bomb - make a obstacle that tank or LAV can't go trough or shoot. Last 30-60 seconds. Used for tank traps
FIRE bomb - make a carpet of fire which made 10-20 damage per second for the duration of fire - it could be 15-30 seconds SMOKE bomb - make remote scaners even much important
More ideas are welcome
I believe that shall make Dropships awesome. Bomb can be fitted on the lower slot |

Sure. Bombs not making only damage, but different kind of EWAR make gameplay more complicated. |

Different bombs take different PG/CPU like turrets. Actually bomb can be fitted on turret slots.
Just an idea hit me. Why not rocket launchers (like dropsuit users) cannot be fitted on the dropship. Even in red line zone tanks can be hit. Using can be same like a foot soldier - you need lock on time before shooting. |

I confirm EWAR is needed. BOMBs can be perfect way for Dropships. And dropships can give tanks real resistance. At the moment killing tank with only dropship is 20:1 |

Sorry, but I disagree. That what you fit make vehicle transport or assault or something else. Fitting mobile CRU make it flying CRU. Fitting bombs make it bomber. Bombs shall give just an additional role and shall make game better

Another bomb idea just hit me.
SCANER bomb - when droped scan huge radius for a 60-90 seconds. Can be destroyed. Health 1000-1500 HP |

Well, if you want your tank to be anty-infantry you put rockets or blaster. If you want anty-vehicle put rail gun. The same with dropsuits - you can put anty-infantry or anty-vehicle weapons. Why not the same with dropships. Atm dropship with side missile gunner is verry effective against infantry. Not the same when talking about AV. Most of the bombs I propose are EWAR. There is a oportunities tank to evade distruction if only bomb is droped without Infantry or vehicle assist with DPS. Fitting bomb must take PG/CPU compared to turrets and defence modules, so fitting bomb shall make pilot to sacrifice turrets ot tank. I believe the idea is good |

Not so sure about that. Even now everybody can be in tanks or dropships, but it didnt happend. Of course if that kind of things happend some regulations can be implemented - 5min interval betwin next bomb, War points gathering for using bomb like Warbarge strikes - a lot of oportunities, but I didnt think it shall happend. As I said before, that bombs are not insta killing explosives, most of them have EWAR role and if only dropped without additional support of DPS nothing shall happend and no one shall die.
Let me tell you an example. Squad of four ppl enter game. Enemy team deploy 2 tanks on the ground. They start rulling battlefield as any of us see it. Few forge guners/rocket launchers try deal with them, but active hardeners give tanks time to withdrow, reapir, calm down and get back. I call a dropship equiped with one turret and an EMP bomb and my team is equiped with AV granades. We take off and stay near to the tanks over the place I expect they shall withdrow. When that happend I trow my EMC bomb and immobilize the tank for 20 second. My 3 teammates jump and throw its AV granades on tank = tank is down. |

Another idea.
WS AVOID bomb - when droped no one can plase warbarge strike on the area of effect. Last 2 min and can be destroyed by opposite team. Deffenetly suportive bomb |

Sound reasonable, but my offer for scanner bomb can replace your proposal. Defenetly I want to hear what CCP have to say about my proposal, because bomb shall make more variants on the field |

I think I understand your considerations about the role of the dropship. Probably i shall repeat myself but let me tell you what I think.
The role of the dropship is define by what you fit on it and how you fly it. It can be mobile CRU, mobile Scanner, Infantry killer(with missiles) or Tank killer(with Rails), scout, kamikaze(yes it can be :) ). Why not carry a bomb. Yes, I understand CCP probably shall give us bombers in future, but they can carry a lot of bombs. The Dropship need only one. And take notice that bombs I propose cannot kill bomb by itself, all they need additional damage to be deal. And lot of them are mostly with anty-tank purpose.
For example - who dont want to see smoke bomb or granade, right?
