I asked CCP Saberwing and he mentioned this date after some prodding but that some people are on different schedules. He was then told to go look at the calendar on internal Wiki by CCP Explorer and that was the end of the public conversation. I guess we'll know when they start popping up on the forums, Twitter and IRC again but between the 7th and the 10th makes sense. Hopefully, they'll all return refreshed and ready to grind out 1.8 for us content hungry mercs.

no wonder this game is still not even close to feature complete for a typical release.
Shanghai, the office that does most of DUST, didn't get December off and those that celebrate Christmas and work in Shanghai got one day unless they took personal time.
Do you have something against people having time off? Even as an American I get the big holidays and three weeks of vacation/personal time.

No. They were grinding over this last weekend to get as much done as they could before their holiday break started. Most are getting two weeks off.
